Tub...Tub...
Tub...
The little tennis ball hits the ceiling over and over until it suddenly stops.
A sigh of boredom follows as I toss it away to the other side of the room.
I put my palm behind the back of my head staring up at the ceiling irritated. I'm hungry, but the last thing I want to do is leave this room to find something to eat. I don't feel like talking. Especially not to the people behind the door so I close my eyes attempting to sleep.
I've been in my room for a while though.
Are they still there?
Maybe they left?
"I'mma go check... Nah, fuck it" I mumble to myself, sighs stubbornly and remain in the same spot from before.
When the only thing to be heard in the room is my stomach growling, I can't help but roll out of bed and throw on a shirt.
Secondly, I wrap a plastic band around my hair and clean up some of the empty bottles and snacks scattered across the floor by throwing them in an empty bin and kicking it into the corner of the room. I only walks out into the hall when I'm done.
I can't take this anymore
My hunger is undefeatable
With my hands buried in my pockets, I groggily make my way to the kitchen to find something to eat.
'Boring ass Saturday' I think to myself as I open both doors of the fridge for a clearer view.
This is not how I spends my Saturdays. Not at all. It's usually more productive with people around me. Unfortunately, the people that I hang out with chose today to be unavailable. Right now, I would usually be at Tyler's or Chris', but they're both busy for some reason and Trey....
I haven't really seen Trey the past week. Only during school hours. He has been unusually quiet in class and distant and as soon as the bell rings he disappears. Now that I'm thinking about it, I need to ask him what's going on. I've noticed that he hasn't really been himself lately.
It's probably his mom again.
As I make a mental note to talk to my best friend, I grab an apple and take a huge bite from it. I find some leftover food too so I lazily throw it in the microwave and watch it get warm.
'Looks like Chinese food' I think to myself when I take it out of the microwave and the mouthwatering smell hits me. I carefully put it on the table and sit down before opening it and digging in.
I take a view bites as I scroll through my phone replying to a couple of messages and my movements come to a halt when I hear voices coming from the hall.
