His ginger hair. His blue eyes that seem to change with every second. His smile. His voice. His awkward demeanor. What is it that you like about his so.... so....

"Earth to Essi!"

"Ah!", you fell off your seat. "Silver! Don't scare me like that!"

"Sorry!" your childlike friend said trying to muffle a laugh as she helped you up on your seat.

Silver is an actress too. You both took film studies together in the afternoon. You had told her about Ed and your dates with him. Even the strange way he looked over his shoulder. She didn't like the fact that he was being so secretive.

"We have a date later tonight. Sweet Station. I'm hoping to get more information out of him... about him.",you stated as you looked down at your laptop. You were working on a script that personifies anorexia. You and Silver had been working on it for weeks, but you still couldn't capture the characters pain fully.

"I love how you picked our favorite spot to bring him... lame!", she leaned back in her chair.

You laughed fakely,"Sorry 'bout that..."

Right then, a girls phone rang. Her ringtone was that same song you had been hearing all week. Something about taste of your lips or what not. You were hoping it wasn't some artist that would blow up bigger than Justin Bieber. Those are always the most irritating of times.

"If he hurts you... I'll be right there to bash his head in!" Everyone stared at Silver as she rose from here chair with flames in her eyes.

"Okay... Thank you. You can calm down now Queen Marguerit."

You both gathered your things to leave class early.

"Good luck tonight with your 'investigation'.", she laughed out load.

"I guess....", you slowly made your way to your car. "Bye!"

"Bye bye!"

The time is 7:00p.m. Around the time you have to be leaving, but you sat at your window, petting Chester. Your thought streaming images of your last date with Ed. You learned so much about him. His favorite things. Hobbies. Things he hates. Even... allergies. Weird, but you couldn't help but feel like there was something missing. YOu needed to know. Why was he acting so strange? You'll demand to know. Ask him straight up. Well, after you two eat of course. You need to know. If there is something wrong with him... if it's something he's hiding from you.

"Well... I must be on my way.", you kissed Chester goodbye.

You decided to walk there since it was such a nice night. You wore a pink babydoll top, cardigan, jeans, and converse. You never got too dressy. You didn't get what the point was to doll up for a boy. He should like you the way you are. Right? Right!

Sweet Station is a hole in the wall in the chinatown plaza. You go there all the time. The food is great and the atmosphere is kind. You turned the corner to see lanterns of all colors, shining bright. People walking up and down the mini street in the middle of the shops.

"There must be a festival tonghit...", you said as you scanned the crowd.

There he was walking down the side of the crowd. Against the wall like a wallflower. The lantern lights made his hair look like fire. His eyes like an angry ocean after a wild storm. Seeing him made you forget all about breathing and thinking. Even for a second.

"Ed.", you whispered as if he could hear.

Ed was looking out over the crowd. Maybe he was looking for you? He laughed at the children running past him. A childish smile that lifted your spirits. As the children ran past you, Ed saw you standing under the bright lights. He made his way toward you. Your cheeks became warm.
