'Man today's one of those days'
Today is Christmas Eve a day most kids would happy for. It's the night before Christmas and a day most spoiled kids would die for. Cause all the presents are under the tree but, for me...
"It's a bad year..."
I was along in this house. It was a two floor house with a garage. Kinda like something out of the Simpsons. However recently my girlfriend broke up with me for another guy. But I respected that she was straight forward in not feeling the love for our relationship anymore. I just have been staying home just doing my job which is office management. But sadly I had the day off.
"Alright all done!"
I find my work a distraction from the relationship ending. It also doesn't help that I'm a guy who needs something to do. So for the day of I cleaned house and tidied it up waiting for a bit of gaming time.
"Well time to eat."
I went to kitchen and prepared myself some lunch. I was in the process of grabbing the bread for a sandwich when my phone went off.
"Huh?"
I pulled my phone out and looked down to notice an old friend was calling. I press the green buttons putting it up to my ear.
"Hey (F/N)! What brings you to call my sorry ass."
I heard her giggle on the other end.
"Come on you know I called to hopefully get some time to chill with you before your shift."
Yep I was working on Christmas eve. It doesn't help I can't easily visit family and I've got bills to pay.
"Well I'm just making something to eat before my shift starts. Just give me a few minutes."
I hung up and after finishing my sandwich I headed out the kitchen and up the stairway while eating it of course. I went to the first door and opened it showing a simple bedroom with a nice layout of the backyard.

I turned to my closet as I opened it to reveal all my black and anime shirts.
"Now where is it?"
I scrolled through the rack of clothes as I come across my apron.
"Their we go."
I grabbed the apron on the rack and it sported a certain symbol of a woman holding coffee.
"Theirs my Starpoint apron."
I work at a coffee shop funnily enough. But they've been needing more hand on deck since it's in the mall. The people can't get enough of peppermint coffee with their Christmas shopping.
