Soap walked out of the pub that he had been working at, a crystal-clear frown on his face. His boss had called him in to have a chat and ended up firing John due to needing to cut down on staff. All that went through John's head was how he would be able to pay his rent, he needed to stay here until he graduates, and he won't be able to do that if he has to go back to Scotland due to not having a roof over hid head.
Soap stood outside the pub, he took his phone out dialing his bestfriend Kyle Garrick, also known as Gaz. Soap, put the phone up to his ear hoping his friend would pick up, but sadly he didn't. Soap let out a defeated groan as he put his phone back in his pocket and slowly made his way back to his apartment complex that was no more than a 15-minute walk from the pub. Soap had hoped that Gaz would have picked up, he wanted to rant to him about what had just occurred and maybe go out for a drink.
When Soap arrived at his apartment, he went in and almost immediately went to his room and jumped onto his bed, his face stuffed in his pillow. He laid like that for around 30 minutes before he sat up, looking at himself in the mirror he had in his room "should look for a new job instead of sulking..." he said to no one but himself. Soap got up from his bed, grabbing his laptop, he went out into his living room, it was nothing special, a few paintings his sisters had made him and some family photos from back in Scotland were hanging on the walls.
Soap put his laptop down on his couch before he went into the small kitchen, quickly making himself a cup of coffee and grabbing a small snack before he went back to the couch. "now, what kind of jobs are available nearby..." he muttered to himself as he turned his computer on. 2 hours later and Soap was slamming his laptop shut, moving it of off his lap angrily, he had been searching for a job, but nothing was available, he felt hopeless and thought that he would actually need to go back to Scotland, drop out of college.
Before Soap could do anything else though, he heard his phone ring, which made him shoot up hurriedly from the couch, and went into his room where his jacket was since his phone was still in the jacket pocket. He took the phone and saw the user read 'Gaz' and he immediately picked up.
"Gaz! Thank god you called, you have no idea what has happened today" Soap groaned in frustration as he heard Gaz laugh on the other side of the line "really? Want me to come over then, to talk about it?" Gaz asked, Soap could hear keys over the phone, Gaz was probably already getting ready to come over. "yes please, the would be nice" Gaz hummed and said bye before hanging up. And Soap went back out into his living room and sat back down his couch, waiting for Gaz to arrive.
When Gaz arrived, he had bought some snacks throwing them at Soap as soon as he came into the small apartment, sitting down next to him on the couch afterwards. "so, what happened to get you so annoyed?" Gaz smiled, only then did Soap feel the ache in his face from having a constant frown on his face. "boss called me to the pub, wanted to speak with me. Ended up firing me due to having too much staff." Soap said as he crossed his arms, leaning back into his couch.
Gaz waited for Soap to continue, "then when I start to look for another job, there aren't any available that aren't close by! I have to pay rent somehow, but how can I do that if I don't have a job?! I don't want to go back to Scotland before I graduate, but I can't just live on the street" Soap groaned, eating some of the snacks Gaz brought. Gaz sighed "you know I would have offered for you to stay with me, but I'm already living with Alejandro and Rudy, there really isn't more room in that apartment" Gaz gave Soap a small pat on his shoulder.
"I know, but how am I going to get money? There really aren't any jobs available" Soap groaned, looking over at Gaz with a defeated look. Gaz seemed to get an idea, a small smirk becoming present on his face, "you know, you could always find yourself a sugar daddy. You're young, and it's not like your ugly or something, I'm sure someone would love to have you as their sugar baby." Soap immediately turned to look at his bestfriend in shock "you're not being serious, are you? I could never do something like that."
Gaz turned to look out a window, the smirk still present on his face as he took a sip from his drink "I don't know, it's just a suggesting" Gaz shrugged. Soap seemed to run the idea over in his head, it's true, it was an option, but would he really be able to do that? Wouldn't they want stuff like nudes and all that... Soap was lost in his thoughts before he was dragged out of them by Gaz standing up.
"have to get going, it's my turn to make dinner today, so I should really get back home. Hope everything works out, talk to you later" Soap looked up at Gaz "yeah, talk to you later" and with that, Gaz went and put his coat and shoes on before he walked out of Soap's apartment.
Soap continued to snack on some of the snacks Gaz had brought, he went back to thinking if he really should try to get a sugar daddy. "what the hell, what damage can it do to just make an account on one of those platforms..." Soap took his laptop that he had previously frown over next to him on the couch, turning it on, closing the job list application he had open earlier. He opened up a new tab and searched 'sugar dating' and then found a website that looked promising enough.
Soap sat looking at the 'sign up' button, debating if he really should do it. He ended up clicking on it, making an account, setting his name as 'Soap' instead of his real name. the last thing he needed was for someone who knew him, that he wasn't close with, to find this profile. When he came to the adding photo's part, he started to wonder if he would need to go take some revealing photos.
He decided not to add any, for now. but he did add a few of himself where he admired how he looked, one from a local café, Gaz had taken the photo when they had gone out during a nice winter day, Soap was cozied up with his scarf and hot coffee in his hands. Another one with Soap and his cat bean that was back in Scotland, the last phot being one Soap had taken at the gym, it shoved off that he had some muscle, and that there was something under the layers of clothing he had on the other photos.
Soap let out a sigh, he put his laptop on the coffee table, getting up from the couch and walking into his bedroom, until he sat in a 'w' position in front of his mirror. He had come to the conclusion, that he would need to give something if he really wanted someone to have him as their sugar baby. So, Soap had stripped down to nothing, his hand on the floor between his legs, hiding his private parts, then he took a photo. Okay he took more then one, he wanted it to be perfect, once he was satisfied, he but his boxers back on, and just took a blanket and wrapped it around himself as he went back to the living room.
He sat down on the couch, putting his laptop back onto his lap. After transferring the photo from his phone onto the computer, he added the best one to his profile and then made the profile public, now he only had to wait. Soap rubbed his face before grabbing his phone and sending Gaz a quick text 'I did it, I made a profile on a sugar dating profile' and then he threw he phone to the side and laid down, deciding to take a small nap.
