Y/n pov:

Y/n: So, what do we do now?

Ruby: I-I dunno... hehe.

Yang: KISS! KISS! KISS! KI-

Weiss: Shut up and let them have their moment!

Geno: I'm proud of you bro. So... we heading home or what? ... Y/n?

I tune them all out and just savor this moment.

Ruby: Y/n, are you ok?

Y/n: Huh? Sorry I spaced out. Y-yeah, I'm good.

Ruby smiles to herself and kisses my cheek before going to pack her things for the trip back. Pyrrha and Weiss already have their stuff by the front door. I hear a thud upstairs and when I go to check, Neo's holding her head...

Y/n: Need a hand?

Neo: *nods, embarrassed*

I hold down the top of her suitcase while she zips it up. Neo then takes it downstairs. I go to my room and see Ruby looking at a childhood photo of me, Geno, Mom and dad. Hey, this was the time I lost a tooth from that school baseball game I was dared to join! Good times...

Ruby: This is almost like... O-our f-family...

I wrap Ruby up in a hug and let her cry into my shoulder while I rub her back softly.

Y/n: Hey... It's gonna be ok Ruby... I promise. How about this? The first thing we'll do when we get back to Remnant is go and visit your family?

Ruby: W-we?

Y/n: Salem dragged my dream self into her domain last night in an effort to turn me against you. From this point on, the fight's as much mine as it is your own.

Ruby: Y/n... I-... I don't know what to say...

Sienna: As beautiful as this moment is, are you going to pack your things? Those of us that HAVE stuff to pack have already finished.

Ruby and I take a moment to process that before looking at each other awkwardly. We then pack up our stuff and meet the others by the door.

Y/n: There are considerably more people now so... what's the plan, Geno?

Geno: Right, let's see here, my car's got seven seats. So that means five in my car.

Y/n: Mine's a five-seater. So that's four... We have a problem... And I think I have a solution.

I grab my sketchpad and pull out that portal gun I had at the start of the vacation before going outside and firing it at the wall. The portal on the other side shows the back of the Garage door.

Y/n: Now all it'll take is a little finesse... And a LOT of luck.

I go back and lock the door before carefully moving my car through and parking it on the far left side so Geno can park his on the right. Everyone brings their things through and I close the portal.

Y/n: *Deep inhale* Hahhhh... Home sweet home... And to you newcomers welcome to the L/n family residence!

I open the door to the games room and we all go through. Everyone goes to explore at their own pace while I head up to my room and grab my recording equipment... Where is it?

Y/n: Hey has anyone seen my recording equipment anywhere?

Ruby: Got it! You left it in your studio.

Y/n: Thanks strawberry.

Ruby: S–S-S-S-STRAWBERRY!?

Y/n: Yeah. Your hair and outfit look like a cute little strawberry dipped in dark chocolate.
