Hazel's POV

"Hazel!" Joshua and Celeste caught me quickly as I felt dizzy. They helped me sit down while my parents rushed towards me in panic.

"Turn off the TV!" Joshua ordered Celeste.

"No!" I exclaimed and pushed him away to see the TV properly.

"We want to remind you that one of the heirs of the Matthews family is missing in Colombia. Despite warnings, the heir flew the helicopter himself in fog two days ago. His father, Draco Matthews and Kayden's twin brother, Jayden Matthews are currently in Bogota, and they are participating in the search and rescue operation."

Tears were running down my cheeks uncontrollably while I was listening to the TV presenter, resting my hand on my belly protectively.

"I have to go to Kayden's parents' house. I can't stay here, hoping to hear something on the TV," I stated firmly and stood up.

"Hazel!" Joshua exclaimed and caught me as I felt dizzy again.

"You aren't in a state to go anywhere. Think about the baby," Joshua warned me, concerned.

"I don't want to stay here while I know Kayden is in danger... if he's still... alive," I said, sobbing. "Please. I have to go," I pleaded, shifting my eyes from Joshua to my parents and vice versa.

"Fine, but we are going with you." My father nodded, giving me a compassionate look.

"Thank you, Dad."

As soon as the housekeeper brought our jackets, we left the mansion. Joshua and Celeste helped me walk towards the car. My legs were still shaking.

My father started the engine as we got in his car. My mother was sitting beside him on the passenger seat while Celeste, my brother and I were sitting in the back seat.

I looked through the window, thinking about Kayden while tears kept running down my cheeks. I rested my hand on my belly and caressed it gently, praying for Kayden with my inner voice.

"He's fine. I am sure. He won't leave you or his baby," Celeste tried to assure me, resting her hand on my forearm. I pursed my lips together and nodded, wishing she was right.

***

As soon as we walked into the Matthews mansion, Mira rushed towards me and hugged me, crying. I hugged her back despite the fact that it was hard with my visible baby bump.

"My boy is stubborn. He's alive I feel it," Mira commented, sobbing as she pulled back slightly. I nodded, crying. "He won't leave his loved ones. Especially his daughter. He hasn't even taken her in his arms," she added sadly and rested her hand on my belly.

"Yes, he can't leave us now. We need him," I agreed, caressing my baby bump while crying.

She gave me a sympathetic smile and wrapped her arm around me, leading me towards the couch.

"Did you talk to Draco? Is there any news?" my mother asked Mira worriedly.

"I called Draco a few minutes ago, but he couldn't talk. He told me he'd call me later," Mira replied gloomily.

We were sitting while waiting for Draco's call in vain. I hated that I was sitting here without doing anything while Kayden was missing. I felt desperate.

A few minutes later, Jayden's fiancée, Clara, walked into the living room and greeted us politely.

"Did Mick fall asleep?" Mira asked her softly about her newborn grandson, Michael.

"Yes. Finally. He was moody today," Clara replied tenderly and sighed, ruffling her hair as she sat down in the armchair, looking tired.

"Don't worry. My son is strong," Mira whispered, leaning towards me, and caressing my arm gently.
