Patton was baking in the kitchen as Virgil and Roman sat on the couch fighting over what to watch.
"Nightmare before Christmas!" Virgil hissed.
"The superior choice is Moana!" Princy scoffed.
"Now now, calm down. Why don't yall pick something you both like?" Patton suggested while stirring the batter for his famous cookies. The two continued picking at each other instead of a show. The dad of the house laughed and added chocolate chips to the batter.
Wait, one... two... three. Where is the fourth? The final "light side" who lived in Thomas Sanders's head: Logan Sanders.
Upstairs, where the hall with 8 rooms was, seemed to get darker the further back it went. Remy's room was across from Dr. Picani at the far left of the hall (the neutral sides), then Roman and Patton's rooms were closer to the door; Vigril's room was across Logan's on the right. Remus and Janus, the dark sides were at the far right of the hallway where it was the most dull and black.
In Logan's room, there was a simple navy blue bed, a bookshelf with as many books Thomas had read ( and more), a bulletin board with so many papers and sticky notes the actual board couldn't be seen, and finally a desk messy with papers and a sleeping body leaned over it. His under eyes were dark with little sleep and his glasses were halfway off his nose. "BANG!" Suddenly there was a crash down-stairs which startled the side awake.
"I fell asleep again," he said to himself disapointedly. He looked down at the papers on his desk, a lot of unfinished work that needed to be completed for Thomas. Logan grunted, deciding that the best thing right now was to stop working and get some air. Therefore he walked out of his room, stopping for a moment to look at the dark side's rooms that seemed to taunt him somehow, then he walked down the stairs to see a huge mess in the kitchen.
Virgil had the remote to the TV in his left hand, the other attempting to hold Roman back. Patton was crying in the corner next to the mess. "My cookies!" He said, and with that, Logan knew what happened. The two were messing around and causing the cookies Patton was making to fly across the kitchen.
"Good afternoon," he said, greeting the others but they were too preoccupied by their current situation to notice him. Logan walked down the stairs and that's when Patton's attention was put on him.
"Oh hey, Logan! Sorry for the mess, I was making cookies and the kiddos came in and knocked the pans off the counter." He said with a sorry look on his face. "Oh, Thomas is calling, got to go. Logan, would you mind cleaning up? I'll help you when I get back, I promise. Thank you." and with that, he sunk into the floor.
Logan didn't get a word in, but it didn't matter. Virgil looked at Roman, then the remote, then at Logan before saying, "Yah no, Princy can help you clean." Then he sank out.
"Logan, you can do this yourself, right? I need to protect my castle, you know how it goes. Evil brother and all." Roman sighed, trying to make it seem like this was a definite urgent and hard task; he then left.
Logan was alone again like he usually was... He ignored the small feeling in his chest. He had been suppressing feelings for a while now since Thomas was around 13. He wasn't creativity, he wasn't anxiety, he wasn't morality; he was just Logic. Logic didn't have emotions, no feelings, just knowledge, and these days he wasn't even sure he had that...
His efforts to ignore this feeling didn't succeed very well... That didn't matter though, cause this mess needed to be fixed before they got back and he had an idea on how to do that. His secret that no one knew, his "power".
His hands were brought up to his forehead and, eyes closed, uncrossed his hands until a sort of diamond shape was made that showed the middle of the lower temple. His hair started floating and a blue light surrounded the kitchen as a third, blue eye was revealed on Logan's head. His two regular eyes stayed closed as the third one looked around. Logan could see through it, the kitchen now looking like a dark blue sky with stars. His hands fell to his sides. The bits of cookie dough everywhere around the kitchen seemed to have been outlined in dark blue and with a wave of Logan's hand, the mess had turned into particles and then those particles flew over to a mixing bowl and reformed into dough.
Then Logan put his hand in the diamond shape back on his head and slid them together so that they were crossing again. The blue eye diapered and he could only see the back of his eyelids now. His hair came down messily and the blue light deceased. When he opened his eyes, the kitchen was no longer a mess and the food had been contained in the bowl that he saw through his eyes. He walked over to that bowl and threw the remains out, then placed it in the sink.
He has had this "power" since young, but someone told him to not show it to anybody. He doesn't remember who said it, but he has kept it a secret and plans to keep it that way. Logan then walked over to the fridge and got his Crofters Jam along with a spoon. Walking towards the couch, he took a scoop of jam and ate it.
"Boo!"
Logan jumped in surprise, dropping the spoon.
