Chapter 8

I finished putting my luggage away in the closet and went to the bathroom to splash water on my face. I can see in the mirror that my face was still red a little bit from the slap. "Amour he's on his way." Charles said coming into the bathroom. He looked at the red mark on my face. I could tell that he was getting angry. I put my hand on his cheek and smiled. He smiled softly. He kissed my hand and walked away. I turned back to the mirror and took a picture of the mark. I finished up in the bathroom, I went back to Charles who was laying down. I laid right next to him. After a few minutes we heard a knock at the door. Charles quickly got up and I tried to hide so Max wouldn't see me at first. Charles headed over to the door and opened it. "Hey man thanks for coming." Charles said. "Yeah of course man what's up" I can hear Max say. "Well it's not gonna be easy to say this but something happened to Loren" "What happened? Is she okay?" Max said. Before Charles could answer I stepped out. Max turned around and saw me. "Lor? What are you doing here?" He said coming over to hug me. I hugged him back hard. We break our hug and were face to face. "What happen to your face? Who hit you?" He started looking close to my face. "Did you do this? Did you fucking do this to my sister?" Max said turning towards Charles. "No Max he didn't do this to me." I said holding him back. He looked into my eyes. "Then who did?" I stayed quiet for a second. "Loren tell me right now who the fuck did this to you?" Max said getting angry. "It...it was" I couldn't even say it. "Wait wait why are you here? Aren't you suppose to be in Hasselt?" I didn't say anything. He stepped back a bit. "Did...did he do this to you?" I nodded yes. He stepped more back looking angry. "That motherfucker did that to you? That son of a bitch!" He screamed. "I'm gonna kill him, I'm gonna fucking kill him for putting his hands on you!" I started to cry more. "Charles what the fuck man?" he said looking at him. "Hey man I said the same thing" Charles said getting closer to me. "Tell me what happened?" Max said. After I stopped crying I told him everything. When I was done telling him he sat down on the bed. "I can't believe it...I'm at lost in words." he said as he sat next to me. He hold my hand softly but firmly and just sat there for a minute. "What do you want to do?" Max ask me. "I don't know...I mean I just can't think right now." He nods. "You have to take illegal action Lor...I mean you got too." he said looking at me. "No I can't, I mean I can but I honestly don't want to start something up again and give him more attention." "Loren we have to do something, this is not okay. This is crazy he's cross the line." "I can't Max." I said. "WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING LOREN!!" he started screaming and getting up really fast. Which made me jump a little. Charles leaning on the door way noticed I got scared he moved a little closer to me. "That son of bitch promised me" I heard Max say to himself. "Promised what Max?" I said getting up. He looked at me. "Nothing Lor" He said. "Max tell me, promised what?" He sighed. "Growing up he would threaded me that he would hurt you if I didn't do good in any race. I promise him that I would do good, be the champion through everything and he promised me that he would never physically hurt you." I stayed quiet. "I worked my ass off, put my blood, sweat and tears to make sure I never failed to keep you safe. All the hard training was mentally and physically was hard but I did it anyways to make sure that son of bitch won't hurt you." I stayed quiet, I looked into his eyes and noticed that he looked like he was going to cry. I pulled him into a hug. We both cried. "I'm so sorry Lor I couldn't be there to save you." He said in my ear. I hugged him tighter. "No no Max you don't ever have to be sorry for being there for me. I should be the one that's sorry for putting you through that." We both talked about it more and cried more. After a while we both decided to not take action illegally. Before we knew it, it was already morning. "Oh my lord it's morning" I said looking out the window. They both nodded. "Well I'm gonna head back to my room and get some sleep." Max said getting up and hugging me. "I love you Lor" he said kissing my forehead. "I love you too" Hugging him back. After he left I went into Charles arms. We both kissed and went to bed. Before we fell asleep, Charles tells me. "I love you so much amour, I'm so lucky to have you in my life, and always know that I'm always gonna be here for you no matter what." I smiled and looked up at him. I didn't say anything and just kissed him.
