III, Run and Rain

Running out of breath through the streets of the Capitol towards the Academy, my boots crashing into puddles formed by the rain that continued to fall, I prayed that classes hadn't started yet. Like most times, the drive from my district to the Capitol took a long time, unfortunately, last night I had a gig with Lucy Gray at the usual bar, and I didn't have time to return to my apartment that the Capitol had kindly offered me for my hard work for entry into the Academy.

I climb the steps as quickly as possible and push the doors of the central building out of breath, almost falling because my boots are wet on the tiles. I hear a mocking laugh not far away and I raise my head, my eyes meeting those of Coriolanus Snow, this idiot who can be both adorable and hateful to me. I look up and correctly replace my completely soaked lavender-purple dress before continuing on my way with a more confident and less clumsy step.

- Looks like the girl from District 12 is starting to gain confidence! Snow exclaims as she comes up to me. I roll my eyes and sigh.

- Woah, what humor! I said sarcastically before slapping his chest. You should think about innovating, big guy, you're still not funny!

I looked at him over my shoulder as I walked away, then I continued on my way to my classroom, a proud smile on my lips, happy to have left him standing there behind me, speechless.
