Y/n Sawamura
The next morning I woke up to sun shining down through the window of Daichis room.
'What time is it?' I wondered as I grabbed my phone to check it. 10:03. Shit. I needed to leave the house in the next 7 minutes or I would be late.
I carefully got up off Daichis now freezing cold floor and threw my blanket onto Tanaka who was curled up on Daichis bed still. I took my phone and quickly ran to the bathroom to brush my teeth before changing, grabbing my bag and running out of the house.
I started to jog a little, in fear of being late, until I caught up to a familiar girl.
"Hey y/n!" Himura said to me as i started to walk beside her.
"Good morning Himura!" I replied to her.
"How was your night?" She asked me, probably because of the fact that I was visibly a wreck this morning.
"It was great, I just forgot to set an alarm for myself." I told her giggling.
"Here take this," She said reaching in her bag and handing me what appeared to be a toiletries bag of some sort. "You'll have a few minutes when we get there."

Me and Himura had talked the whole rest of the walk. When we finally reached the gym I quickly brushed through my hair and threw it into a ponytail before I gave Himura her stuff back and walked into the gym towards the locker rooms.
"She's a wreck," I heard Ebina snicker from the other side of the locker room. I just ignored her and took off my sweatshirt and sweatpants I had on over my practice clothes. She just kept going though, "Look at her face, she has mascara smeared all under her eyes... What the hell was she doing all night where she couldn't take off her makeup...".
"Oh my god shut up Ebina!" Himura said sternly, causing the rest of the girls in the locker room to whip their head around.
"Excuse me?" Ebina replied, stunned by Himuras words.
"Who even cares if she has makeup under her eyes? It's literally just volleyball practice."
"Yeah well she looks insane."
"How does that even affect you?"
Himura and Ebina went back and forth for at least another three minutes before Miura intervened. Our captain yelled at the two of them for arguing and said they were 'scrambling the team chemistry', but it almost seemed like it was already scrambled. It felt like I wasn't actually the full reason Himura was arguing with Ebina for so long.
As a result of the argument we found ourselves on the sideline doing 50 sprints. Remind me to never let anyone stand up for me again.
For our practice today, we were splitting into a bunch of smaller teams of three. I found myself on a team with Miura and a first year I was unfamiliar with. We were all dead from the sprints and only mustered the energy to put enough effort to win when we found out the losing team of each match had to do 10 sideline sprints. Hearing that brought everything from my serves to my sets to my receives to my spikes to an absolute peak of my ability.

Practice in the end was actually pretty fun, well... once we finally caught our breath back from the initial sprints. My team only ended up losing one match, our second one, against a team of three third years. Even if the sprints weren't a horrible task, the other team seemed to have an advantage over us.
