Where were you Last Night?

Mikey's not a violent person, or uh, turtle. The exact opposite actually. Out of everyone, Mikey is the most kind-hearted and gentle. He wouldn't even hurt a fly. Literally. He had a pet fly he named, well. Fly for all of two days before it died. And when it did, he cried for hours. He's only ever hurt anyone when he needed to, to protect his family and friends, and even then he tries his best to not do much damage.

He doesn't even get angry. Sure, every once in a while he's annoyed or frustrated and yells a bit. But it's never actual anger. Not like how Raph gets, or Leo. Or even me. So in those very few moments when he does get angry, it's absolutely terrifying. I've only ever seen him like that twice in our lifetime, both when we were just kids. But even then, I was nervous being around him even days afterward.

So when Mikey found out about April, no one expected Mikey to react the way he did.

I was working on one of my many projects when I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I yell, not hiding the slight annoyance in my voice from being interrupted.

"Heya Dee!" Oh god. Of course. I groan out loud, while I slowly spin my chair to face, the one and only, Casey Jones. "Wow, no need to hide your excitement. I know you missed me." He gives me one of his signature smiles while he winks. As much as he annoys me, I must admit, I have missed him. He's been gone for a couple weeks on some hockey trip, and it's been kind of boring without any friendly rivalry. I give him a small chuckle.

"Eh, I wouldn't say that..." He pulled a chair and sat in it backwards with his arms crossed on the top, and his legs spread apart. He laughs slightly before looking at the ground awkwardly, all playfulness seeming to have completely vanished.

"Hey um. As much as I would love to be here just to hang out and bug ya, I actually came to uh...I um. I have to tell you something.." he looks up at me before looking back down and fiddling with his fingers.

"Okay? What's up? Are you okay?"

"Yeah, yeah I'm good dude, uh, kind of. Look, Don. It's about April.." Immediately I started to feel protective. Why does he want to talk to me about April? I thought we had already sorted everything out when she and I got together. In fact, he even said he had moved on from April and had a slight thing for Karai. Did he change his mind? Before I could say anything, he continued.

"This isn't easy to say, so please just be patient and let me finish before you... react." I nodded hesitantly, being very confused. "I was out with my sister last night, having fun and stuff, and we ended up staying out later than we usually would. You know how my father could get about curfews...but he's out of town right now so we took advantage of it. Anyway, as we were walking home, we took a little shortcut, going by some old park and.." he took a deep breath before he looked me in the eyes, showing me some sort of emotion that I couldn't quite make out. "I saw April kissing one of our classmates...I'm so sorry Don."
I felt sick. There's no way April would do that to me, right? There's no way. She wouldn't cheat on me.

"N-no you are wrong. April, she wouldn't, no."

"I'm really sorry. I would have confronted her, but I was with my little sister and I didn't want her to see what potentially would've happened. I figured you'd want to know.." he brings his arm out and grabs my shoulder giving me a tight squeeze. I stood up, throwing whatever was on my desk to the ground, yelling slightly. I want to yell at Casey for lying, punch him, tell him to get lost for trying to break April and me up. But I know he's not lying.

Casey Jones is not a liar. In fact, he's always brutally honest about everything, never holding back. When he does lie, it's always when he's trying to cover up his injuries or the amount of pain he's in. And it's very obvious. There's a reason why he's always honest, and it's because he's a horrible liar.
