ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ᴛᴇɴ; ᴡᴀʀɴɪɴɢs

"Could I have your attention, please?" McGonagall spoke to her class, standing in the front of the room. "Right. Now, today, we will be transforming animals.. into water goblets." She announced. Figures why their pets were there. "Like so." She put her wand to a bird she had on a stand. "One, two, three. Vera Verto."

The animal turned clear, shifting into a glass cup. Students became amazed as Ron's eyes slightly widened, his lips parting as he sat next to Harry.

"Now it'a your turn. Who would like to go first?" McGonagall questions, walking down the steps from the front as she just spotted Ron. "Ah! Mr. Weasley. One, two, three. Vera Verto." She instructed making the boy nod as he cleared his throat, dabbing his wand three times.

"Vera Verto!" A green wisp went around his rat's body as it squeaked, turning into a cup. But it was a hairy cup with a rat tail since he did not become clear or liquify. Students chuckled as Rowan smiled at the situation.

Ron was disgusted as he grabbed the rat cup, looking at his rat a bit horrified.

"That wand needs replacing, Mr. Weasley." The woman points out as Hermione raised her hand from beside Rowan. "Yes, Miss Granger?"

"Professor.. I was wondering if you could tell us about the Chamber of Secrets." Hermione spoke with a bit of hesitance, not sure if the woman would be upset she asked or not.

Professor McGonagall just looked around at her students, seeing they were all staring at her. Awaiting her answer in silence as she inhaled deeply, sparing a glance to Rowan.

"Very well. You all know, of course.. that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago by the.. five greatest witches and wizards of the age." There was a student in Vulpes. There was no point in leaving her out. "Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin and Alexander Archipelago." The woman explains, people glancing towards Rowan who just kept her gaze away from them. Even her three friends looked over at her. "Now, four of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. One did not."

"Four guesses who." Ron says to Harry. McGonagall pointed her wand at him briefly.

"Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. In other words, pure-blood. Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school. Now, according to legend.. Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle known as the Chamber of Secrets. Though, shortly before departing, he sealed it.. until that time when his own true Heir returned to the school. The Heir alone... would be able to open the Chamber.. and unleash the horror within, and by so doing.. purge the school of all those who.. in Slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic." Professor McGonagall explained.

"Muggle-borns." Hermione figured making the professor point her wand at the young girl.

"Well, naturally, the school has been searched many times. No such chamber has been found." The professor led off as she went to step back up to the front.

"Professor?" McGonagall stopped as she turned back around, looking at Hermione. "What exactly does legend tell us lies within the Chamber?" Hermione asks.

"The Chamber is said to be home to something that only the Heir of Slytherin can control. It is said to be the home.. of a monster." McGonagall finished, students becoming horrid. Ron even turned around in his seat, making eye contact with Draco who was smirking.
