Chapter 15

Ricardo's point of view.

People gathered around the unconscious Naomi. I quickly went through the crowd. I picked her off the floor and headed for the door."Rick, what are you doing with her?" Jeremy came up to me. "Taking her to the nurses office", I answered. He stood in front of me, blocking my path. "Get out of my way Jeremy", I responded in a rather low but menacing tone. "Why are you helping her? I thought you didn't like her", I could sense a bit of jealousy in his voice.

"Are you jealous?" I snickered. His face remained intrigued by my comment. I held on to Naomi's petite body in my hand. Her head rested on my chest. Her head twitched a little causing me to look down at her. Her eyes were still closed, she looked pretty much unconscious but it seemed her mind was in some turmoil.

"I know you don't like her and don't want to help her so allow me get her to the principal's office and you can go suck Brianna's face".

If Jeremy wasn't my brother, I would have kicked him out of my way. Besides its not like I am helping her with her power nonsense, she has fainted, she needs help. He is probably scared that something might develop between the two of us which is stupid of him. Naomi is most definitely not my type and I feel nothing for her. I heard her mumble something but I wasn't attentive enough to hear what she said. "You can help by stop being useless and getting her school bag for me". I pushed him away from my path and continued walking. I know an Android in here who can help. Its possibly her chip malfunctioning. With this I can check if she is the one with the chip as I have suspected. I mind-linked Cody to meet me in the science lab.

I heard Jeremy running after me making me quicken my pace and trust me, I moved very fast and I didn't have to run for him to barely be able to catch me. You see, Jeremy has a higher level of intelligence but my physical qualities are better than his. I can run faster, play sports and do a lot of physical activities better than him. I quickly got into the science lab and met Cody sitting on the stools waiting for me.

"Hello Richardo the ladies man, how you doing?"

"Hello man, how are things at Gaston's lab?" I ask. He laughs," I heard someone tried to hack into his system. That person is playing with fire bro. It would most likely be a human. No Android would dare mess with Gaston".

In my head I knew Naomi would be behind that. "Also, you know about the Neurochip right?" he proceeded. I nodded in response completely forgetting that Naomi is still in my arms. "Gaston has detected airwaves from the chip that means the girl who has it is close by. You know, now he is going to go all lengths to find the girl who has the chip".

Jeremy run into the lab, Cody and I looked at him as he trooped in angrily. "I thought you were taking her to the nurses office not the science. Are you going to do some experiments on her or something. Not on my watch Ricardo". I cackled at his agitation.

"Greet Cody, my man", I responded. A flair of confusion played on his face. If cluelessness was a person, it would be him. His eyes demanding an explanation. "Why did you bring Naomi to Cody, she is a human who needs a hospital".

I rolled my eyes and sighed and how inherently stupid he can be. "For an Android with a high intelligence you are really stupid". He shot me a glare through his glasses, clearly not appreciating my honest description of him. "Cody, how was Robotics club?" Jeremy questions.

"It was good, it was great learning about the human perspective of robots. Humans are actually very smart", Cody answered. "Human Intelligence brought AI, isn't it?" Jeremy chuckled.

This conversation was boring me out. I didn't come here for them to exchange pleasantries. I just wanted to know if my suspicions are right and what could be the next move. Do we ensure Gaston doesn't find her? I don't like Naomi or care about her and that's the fact but I am just thinking about what he could do. Gaston is a very interesting man and devious. He could be plotting something besides, I heard that chip has something to do with me so I must know what its all about. "Jeremy lock the door", I commanded. He didn't question me, he did as I said. Cody started clearing some tables. I laid her down on the table. I stared at her I must admit beautiful lips. Something was drawing me to them, I can't explain. Her skin is so smooth and soft, I just had to use my hand to graze her arm, just to feel the texture. The clinging of the beakers and stuff drew my attention away from her intriguing face.
I rubbed my hand over my face and gave room for Cody to do his thing.

A blue glow appeared in his eyes. Jeremy and I stared at him curiously as a beam came from his eye and scanned her body from head to toe. Naomi kept murmuring things that are audible now. "Project 100"

Is it the chip making her say that?His beam went off and he turned to look at us, a face that brought worry into our heads. "The girl has the Project 103 chip as you may know as the Neurochip and Gaston has accessed the chip".
