Evan's POV
I watch her, as her hair flows lightly in the breeze coming from our apartment window. I watch in awe as I see the most beautiful girl I have ever met siting right in front of me. God I am so lucky to have her.
She's sitting out on the balcony, with a sketching pad with her. And a pencil behind her ear, she draws with such experience and passion. Yet she keeps them a secret. Throughout these six years knowing her, she's only showed me her doodles or if I'm lucky a small sketch of something or someone. I understand how she likes to keep those parts of her life a secret, and I respect that. As she sips her coffee, I wonder why she is so insecure about herself, Sure she has a couple of scars and some bad memories But then again, all heroes do. She's so perfect to me.Evelyn's POV
The breeze is light, Light enough for my page to flicker. I've been drawing since I woke up, I don't really know why I like it, I just do. My art teacher always said I was good at sketching but I never realised until now. Evan, I know he's behind me. I can feel his presence. I slowly put my sketch away, so he doesn't get a glance of what I've drawn. I will show him one day, just not yet.
"Hey babe". I turned around as I hear Evans voice, "oh hey, did you sleep well?" I ask. "Mhhm" he says against my lips. He give me a small peck and hugs me from behind. "it's really cold outside! Why are you out here?" Evan asks. "Um... I just wanted some fresh air" I reply. "Oh, ok then, we'll come inside now I made breakfast." He says. He takes me hand and walks me inside. Evan and I, you can say are the not so perfect couple. We may have a few problems and difficulties but we manage through. At the end of the day we both still love each other and hopefully it stays that way. Evan and I both went to school together, we met in 7th grade. We were best friends, then he asked me out in 10th grade. We've been dating ever since, we both are going to attend the same collage next year, it wasn't planed it just sorta happened. I'm studying art and English literature. Evan on the other hand is studying law and economics.
As he puts breakfast on the table we begin to eat. Evan always sits on the right side of the table closest to the window and I always sit on the left. We don't know how this happened or why we do it, it just happens naturally. So it's like 'our spot' for meals. It was Saturday today, so we didn't have to really go anywhere. After finishing our breakfast and cleaning up, I decided that I needed to get some homework in right? I quickly ran up the stairs to go and fetch my book when I felt a sharp pain in my stomach. I fell to the ground in agony, clutching my arms around the pain to make it stop. I was in so much pain, I couldn't even yell for help. I tried to scream, let alone speak but my voice kept cracking. I tried to open my bedroom door, when I slipped and hit my head on the door. I was getting light headed and dizzy, and finally the darkness consumed me.
I woke up to a pounding headache, and drenched with sweat. I looked around the room to see, I was in my room and Evan was sleeping on the floor next to me. He had red puffy eyes, and was breathing heavily. I grabbed the glass of water from my bedside table and drank as i was dehydrated. I couldn't remember anything that had happened the night before, I'm so confused....
After a while Evan finally woke up and stared directly at me, as I was distracted by his perfect blue eyes, I was knocked into reality as he pounced onto be and engulfed me into the biggest hug. We sat there for what felt like forever in silence and I missed it, it was nice. Then out of nowhere he kissed me, our lips moving in sync, made for each other. He put more pressure onto my lips but it wasn't rough. I haven't kissed him like this in so long, "I love you, I love you, I love you" he keeps repeating. "Don't ever do that again, you scared me to death." He said whilst sobbing into my hair. "Hey, shhh it's okay, I'm okay." I say, stroking his head trying to sooth him. Once he had calmed down he started to explain to me what happened. "How long was I out?" I asked him "well it happened right after breakfast yesterday, you were out for a whole day." He replied "I just walked up that stairs, and I saw you lying on the floor, unresponsive. I shook you and talked to you but nothing happened, I thought you died, but I forgot dead people don't breathe and you were clearly breathing." He said with a attempt of a smile at the end. After hours of non-stop talking, I decided to take a quick shower, we were running low on food anyway so I decided to take a visit to the shops. I didn't bother to attempt to make myself look decent I just wore some casual clothes. As I was just about to walk out the door Evan stopped me. "Where are you going?" He asked me. "The shops il be back soon" I said. "The shops? You literally just woke up like 2 minuets ago, you need to rest. Il go" and with that he gave me a small kiss and left me dumbfounded at the frame of the front door.
