Y/N's POV
I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with emotions. What if I was pregnant? What happens next? I couldn't help but overthink again. What would Michael say? We've gone through a lot with each other but how would he react if I were to be? We aren't even married yet and this is happening to us already...
Henry came back with two full plastic bags. I stared at him in shock "Um what happened..?" I asked unsurely. He chuckled nervously, "I wasn't sure what to get, so I kinda had to ask for a lot of help" he mumbled under his breath. "Oh thank you henry" I smiled at him and watched as he placed the bags on the counter. "Now I have to go pick Sammy up from his babysitter. Do you mind if I bring him here with me?" Henry asked. "Of course, I don't mind" I smiled. Henry smiled "I'll be back in an hour" Henry walked out closing the door behind him. Leaving me again alone. I hated being alone. I wasn't use to it. Sure i've stayed home a couple of times before but I have gotten so use to being with Michael all the time, I've grown nearly homesick that he's not around me.
I decided that I needed to be a strong woman. And so I prepared and cleaned the house, I even had the motivation to bake a couple of cupcakes. I should tell Victoria to come over too. I need to update her on everything that's going on. I went over to the hallway where the telephone hung on the wall. That's when I heard a strange quiet knock. I gulped down. Maybe it's just the neighbor?
I went towards the door and looked through the peephole, there was no one. Only large dirty footprints on the concrete. "What the hell..." I whispered under my breath and I quickly opened the door. There was a white envelop on the welcome matt. I looked around to see if I could spot anyone but there was no one. I picked it up. It was sent from Utah. Hurricane, Utah. The street I once lived in. But who could have sent this? And why was it at my front door and not the mailbox..?
I closed the door quickly locking it shut. I quickly opened the envelop, unraveling it carefully to not rip the delicate paper.
Michael.. Is.. In... Danger.
What kind of sick prank is this? I thought to myself. Michael couldn't be in danger. It must be some sick joke. But the handwriting was far too similar to what i've seen before. Looked too similar to Gregory's handwriting and it terrified me. "I'm overthinking things again. It's nothing" I folded the paper and placed it back in the envelop in the kitchen drawer.
I headed over the phone again and dialed Victoria's phone number. There was a long ring until I heard her cheerful greeting. "Hey!" I could hear her smile through the phone "Hey it's y/n!" I replied back "Oh hey girl! What's up?" she replied back "I'm kinda in a tough situation right now. Do you think you could come over for a sleepover?" I asked "Yeah of course. I'll be there in 10" she replied back. We both ended with a goodbye before hanging up.
I felt relieved that Victoria was coming over so I wouldn't feel so alone. But deep down I knew that it didn't matter how much company I had. It didn't matter if this small apartment was filled to the capacity of people. I still felt alone without Michael.
Soon after I heard a knock on the door. I was hoping that it wouldn't be another stupid letter. I walked over to the door and thankfully it was Henry and Victoria right behind him. I smiled brightly, and opened the door stepping to the side to allow them in. "Hey" I said cheerfully. "Hey y/n!" she smiled, coming in and placing her bag down on the floor. She wrapped her arms around me tightly "Missed you" she whispered in my ear "I missed you too" I hugged her back.
