After telling Mike my most kept secret that I have been itching to tell him, we arrived back at the hotel, where we found Henry laying on the small chair with a remote in his hand and popcorn scattered on his Hawaiian shirt.
"Henry?" Michael called out which he awoken from his deep slumber in surprise. "What?" he woke up adjusting himself. "Oh you two are back" he smiled. I nodded my head.
During the car ride back here, there was a lot of things that we've been thinking thoroughly. Especially Mike's promise...
"Henry I need to talk to you.." Michael said. "I'll head downstairs and get snacks" I said grabbing my bag. "No it's fine." Mike said. He sighed and sat next to Henry. "Okay. What is it?" Henry said. "I want to go back to California. I want to get married with Y/n as soon as possible."
"Married?" Henry furrowed his eyebrows. "I thought we'd agreed that we would-"
"Yes but.. plans have changed now. With our child, I need to protect her more than ever."
Henry gives Mike and Y/n a soft warm smile. Henry gave Mike a nod. "I've watched the both of you grow up into a lovely couple.. I just know your mother would be proud of you Michael."
Michael's lips rugged into a small smile. Though the thought of his own Mother not being able to see how the two of you managed to grow into something more gave a pang in his chest.
But he convinced himself that maybe somewhere she was looking down at him proud.
It didn't take long before you and Michael began to pack your belongings to head back to California tomorrow morning. Mike felt something eating inside of him. He couldn't help but think how Henry would handle it all on his own.
It was late night now, midnight to be exact. Michael laid against the bed unable to sleep. His eyes glued to the white ceiling above him. He glanced over at the time reading 12:20 AM.
He groaned softly before sitting up and swinging his legs over the bed. His head pounding at the sudden movement. He winced slightly at the sharp pain. He felt his gut in pain as he walked over to the bathroom. His eyes had a purple hue in them and he felt terrified.
"You can't escape me son."
He could practically hear his fathers voice in his head as he clung into the bathroom counter. "Fuck.. off.." he mumbled under his breath.
"You're meant to be with us. With me."
Michael groaned in pain again falling onto his knees. He began to cough up blood, cough up wires. He looked down at his hands noticing his skin turning more pale than usual.

The next morning you woke up slowly yawning before turning around to greet Michael, but you noticed he wasn't there. Your eyebrows furrowed in confusions as you quickly sat up and noticed his phone was still there. You walked over to the bathroom before stepping your foot against a soft and wet spot on the carpet, which made a squelch sound making you feel icky.
You cringed as you glanced down noticing the spots of red liquid following towards the door which made your eyes widen in fear. You hesitantly reached your hand for the door knob twisting it and opening it. You slowly turned on the lights to see a pool of blood mixed with wires. You glanced over at the bathroom counter seeing Michael's shirt laying ripped apart.
"Henry!" You called out and he immediately woke up "W-what? What what is it?!" He spoke immediately hearing the urgency in your voice.
He quickly stood up and walked over to stand next to you seeing the mess in the bathroom. "What.. what happened? Where's Michael?" Henry spoke his voice filled with urgency.
"I-I don't know I just saw this and.." you began to panic feeling your heart pounding against your chest at the possibility that Michael could have been murdered by his stupid asshole of a father.
"Relax.. shh.." Henry tried to calm you down as he placed his hands on your shoulders. "How can I calm down if Michael is gone and then we see this?!" you raised your voice, your eyes growing glossy.
"Look.. im sure we can find him. Let's just.. call the police and maybe they can locate him." Henry spoke with a calm voice. He didn't want to make you panic any further especially since you were pregnant. He needed to keep you calm, despite the guilt eating up inside of him. The thoughts running through his mind the possibilities of what could've happened.
You nodded your head taking a couple of deep breathes. "Okay.."
But still you couldn't help the tears rolling down your face. You closed your eyes for a brief moment remembering how happy he was to find out you both were having a baby. How happy he was..
No, there had to be some chance that he was alive right? He can't be dead no he can't be. After everything that has happened it couldn't have been that.
