As the next day has rolled around, the three new Avatar Drivers followed Grace into the link room. Kayla was a little nervous, because she never had any training of the sort for being an Avatar Driver, she wouldn't know if she was doing it right. "So, how much link time have you logged?" Graced asked.

"About 520 hours." Norm replied. Kayla's eyes widened, well now she was under prepared and even more nervous.

"That's good. You're in there." She pointed to a link for Norm, "you're here." She pointed to another one then gestured to one next to Jake's link, "and yours is there," she pointed to Kayla's link. Kayla walked over to her link and studied it, the stuff inside of it looked squishy, and her being a very curious woman she poked it.

"Okay, gross," Kayla whispered, and sat on the edge, sighing as she laid down in the link, just as Grace finally made it to her.

"How much have you logged Kayla?" Grace asked, going to the screen to set it up.

"Uh..." Kayla bowed her head. Grace stopped what she was doing and looked to her daughter with an irritated sigh.

"Seriously? Neither you or Jake studied or logged anything?" She asked.

"I tried, but it was boring. Nothing useful inside of those stupid books." Kayla shrugged nonchalantly.

"Wonderful," Grace sighed, "alright, lay down and keep your head down." Kayla did as she was told to Grace's surprise. The older woman leaned over her, pulling the inner layer over her, Kayla lifted her head to look at it, "head down." She pushed the younger woman's head down, "now, relax and let your mind go blank. Shouldn't be hard for you," Grace jabbed.

"Did you just --?" The top layer encased her body, leaving her in darkness. She puffed her cheeks out and exhaled, before closing her eyes. The sudden shift of her consciousness, which had her heart hammer inside of her chest.

She heard different noises inside of the room. Her vision was blurry as she saw two figures above her. The one with red hair put a light in front of her eyes, which dilated at the sudden brightness. "Pupillary reflexes are good." The woman spoke, her Irish accent heavy as the other person next to her snapped their fingers next to her ears.

"Pinna response normal." The other person was male, her eyes scanning both of them.

"How are you feeling, Kayla?" The woman asked.

"Sober." Kayla joked, which caused the two to laugh.

"Welcome to your new body, Kayla." The woman said. Kayla slowly put her hands out in front of her, moving her dominant hand to the one that used to be metal, a smile gracing her lips as she sat up, her legs crossing.
