Ch1: Welcome aboard

"Captain on the bridge"

Hm? That's new, that one hasn't gone off since the last captain was fired, must be some technical difficulties or something, I should have it checked out while we're still on the ground.

"Himekoooooo!"

As I turned around I noticed Theresa walking to me fast to greet me.

Himeko: "Theresa? What are you doing here?"

Theresa: "Oh I'm here to see you, see how you and Fu Hua have been and to do some introductions!" She said smiling as usual.

"Introductions?" I asked confused as she just nodded with an affirming "mhm" and pointed towards the top of the bridge.

Now this might not be good, there, where Theresa was pointing, was standing a young man, seemingly rather amazed looking around him the entire time and observing the bridge with wonder in his eyes. He was fairly well dressed, wearing tailored dark blue pants, a white dress shirt and a dark blue vest. He by all accounts looked young enough to be Kiana's classmate, he had slightly messy dark blue hair and what seemed like cyan eyes, but what worries me is the reason he's here.

"Who is he and why is he here?"

Theresa just looked at me uneasy. "Um, let me introduce you two. Y/n!"

She called to the young man who turned and walked over to us. Now that he was standing in front of me I noticed he was shorter than me.

Y/n's POV

I was currently standing in front of a woman wearing an... Interesting outfit shall we call it? She had a mostly white top that revealed her cleavage, a small red jacket that didn't cover anything and really only seemed to be there for aesthetic, short black gloves and long black boots. However her face and hair were something else, beautiful red hair and those orange eyes, I would be lying to say I didn't find her attractive, but that's something to not focus on right now.

"Good evening, I am Y/n and have been appointed captain of the Hyperion, it is a pleasure to meet you." I said bowing slightly.

"Captain?!" The woman almost yelled as she heard that word come out of my mouth, causing me to gulp nervously.

She turned to Theresa who just chuckled nervously.

Theresa: "Hehe, um sorry, he's been hired by overseer Otto personally."

The woman just groaned and got closer to me grabbing my collar.

"Listen here, I'm willing to tolerate you because the overseer put you in this position, but if I get even an idea you're being a creep, pervert or are doing anything to any workers or Valkyries here, I will throw you off while we're in the air, got it!"

I just nodded nervously as she let me go, thankfully.

Theresa: "N-Now now Himeko, that wasn't really necessary, he hasn't done anything yet, and please at least introduce yourself." She said nervously trying tto defuse the situation as much as she can.

"I'm major Himeko Murata, that's all you need to know." She said before walking away.

"Oh boy, what a reception." I said getting up. "Are all of them as welcoming and friendly as her?"

Theresa scratched the back of her head and looked sorry. I just sighed and patted her head.

Theresa: "Sorry about her, she is really nice just..."

Y/n: "Yeah yeah, bad experiences with the previous captain, I get it, still doesn't really make this too nice ya know."

She still looked down.
