Rumor has it that a group of girls suddenly disappeared overnight.

Rumor says someone kidnapped them.

Rumor says they got bored of the town.

Rumors weren't true.

"What's up?" They were helping Jade pack a week in advance so she wouldn't have to worry. "Why are you so quiet?"

Rue looked at her before her eyes slid to Fez, who shook his head discreetly before going back to taping a box.

"Just....sad to see you go."

"Bullshit." Jade scoffed, narrowing her eyes at her. "Don't lie to me, Rue. What's wrong with you?"

"So I can't be sad to see my friend leave?" Rue immediately shot back, Jade's face blanking as she blinked slowly. "....I'm just-"

"O'Neil, leave the room."

"Nah, I'm good." Jade shrugged, deciding to drop it and going back to packing up her underwear drawer.

"Welcome, ladies!" Rue had followed Jade a few nights later, watching wide eyed as the group of girls that were bullying her turned to face the older girl. "Oops, sorry. Were you expecting someone else?"

"Where the fuck is Fez, Jade?"

"O'Neil? Probably passed out on my bed after eating damn near everything in my house." She nonchalantly said, motioning to the seats that were there. "Please, I've been preparing for this."

"Is this some sort of joke?"

"Yeah, this is my-"

"Sit. The fuck. Down." Jade slammed an airsoft gun on the podium, the girls screaming and rushing to sit down. "Great! I have a presentation for you all, which I think you guys will just love!"

"I-is that real?"

"Do you wanna find out?" They didn't like that sweet smile on her face, and neither did Rue. It was scary. "No? Good! Let's start with Samantha!"

Jade had dug up so much dirt on them in so little time.

Fez used to tell me her favorite thing to do was to play mind games, to break people down and leave them grasping for even an inch to hold close to them.

But to witness firsthand was something entirely different.

"Okay, let's take a break and digest what we've just learned, huh?" A wicked grin was on her face when she saw theirs. A few had gone pale, one looked sick, and the other was horrified. "Why do people insist on pushing my buttons?"

"We didn't do anything to you!" One girl shot from her seat, Jade shooting three times in the air. Their screams drowned out Rue's startled gasp, the younger girl quickly slapping her hands over her mouth.

"Oh, shut up." Jade rolled her eyes, eyes blank as she waited for them to stop screaming. "You were fucking with Rue. Thereby pushing my buttons. Do you guys think I wanna spend my last week sending out messages to people?"

Her eyes bounced around before she clapped with a grin, turning and facing Rue's direction.

"Come on out! I know you followed me!" Hesitant and small steps until she was barely around the corner, not enough for the other girls to see. "Come on! How are they gonna apologize and stuff without you front and center?"

"Apologize to her?"

"Yes. Or you can be first. How would your boyfriend like to find out that you're fucking his dad. That would cause for a nasty divorce." Jade shook her head with a dramatic pout, the girl gaping. "Or your mom to find out that you're slowly building up the courage to drug her, get her addicted, then send her away. To go live with the father that's been touching on you since you came on to him."

"Clara, what the fuck?" Samantha sputtered, turning her head to eye her in disgust. "I'll apologize. No problem. I don't want my shit out there."

"Yeah, you should definitely apologize."

"It's your saving grace at this point."

"Rue." Jade beckoned her over, Rue shuffling until she was beside her. "Chop chop, time crunch."

Truth is, Clara moved first. One of the girls from the group spilled her plans for her mom and why, and her mom sent her to live with her aunt in Kansas.

Next was Louise. Pregnant in a Catholic household with no idea who the father was. Her parents sent her away, no one knows where.

Samantha's wasn't too bad, but she still didn't risk it. She went to Tallahassee to stay with her grandparents.

Then, Ria. Finding out that she knowingly slept with her cousin multiple times, would sneak out at night to see a doctor at a hospital, and some other things someone her age shouldn't be doing, she was due for her leave.

Rumor was, Mason was sniffing around for Jade after catching wind of her leaving.

Rumor was, Mason had come to 'visit some friends' around the time Jade was leaving.

Rumor is, Fez got to him first.

That rumor is true.

"Didn't I fuckin tell you to leave her alone? You thought yo buddy was gon' help?"

"I just have to see her!" Mason whimpered when Fez grabbed him by the front of his shirt, the teen rolling his eyes and tapping on his phone for a few seconds.

"Look. You see her."

"What are you doing?" Jade was groggy, eyes squinting at Fez's phone before she groaned. "Go away."

"Tell the people what we did."

"Tainted my mother's house." She muffled after pressing her face into the blanket, Fez's shit eating grin being seen.

"Gimme a kiss, J."

"Turn the camera off." The video ended with Jade poking her head out from the blanket, Fez looking over Mason's face.

"I got another video, if you wanna see."

Oh, also, THEY FUCKING TRAUMATIZED ME. Like, I didn't walk in on them doing it, but it was worse walking in on them making out in Jade's bed and putting the fucking pieces together.

Seriously, couldn't they just be normal frenemies and stay FAR away from each other?
