No one else, Just them tonight, cause sometimes, one person is all you need. You can't stop the storm, but one umbrella covers quite nicely.

Notes:

P.S *whispers* This is where things get emotional and also soft Scaramouche, so heads up k byee{Oh yeah, I have no clue how to write this sooo enjoy}

Also as I have annoyingly found out, Wattpad does not allow Ig? words that are crossed out, which means, it is much more difficult to get things across the way I'd like them. So due to this, any sentences, internal dialogue or otherwise that is meant to have a line through it for story telling purposes, will now be within these: "[ ]". If you wish to read it the way its originally written, you can check it out by the same name on ao3, thank you for your understanding, and have a good day. -Z

"Almost there, there's the violet, gold engraved vase. A guard three meters from it along the wall. Now I should be coming up to a hallway on the right that leads to Princess Makoto's room, then just a little further is Prince Scaramouche's room."

Y/n thought, making sure she was going the right way. She had once proposed to Hisako to either give the maids maps of the castle or hire a guide to show new recruits around. Hisako said that wasn't necessary, after all, Hisako could just do it. The reason Y/n had requested this, was that it took Hisako two weeks after Y/n had arrived, to give her a tour. Not out of malice, but due to that fact she was always very busy.

"Ok, there's the door, you just go in, lay down the tea tray, ask if he wants you to put up the laundry, then you do what he says, and go. Wait no, you knock first. Right? Right. Ok, here we go." She breathed a small sigh and very carefully put the tea tray on the basket. Raising her hand to knock on the intricately decorated door, a small sound stopped her momentarily. She couldn't quite tell what it was but in fear of getting berated by Prince Scaramouche for his tea being cold, she ignored it and rapped lightly against the door.

*knock-knock-knock*        *silence*

"Well that's odd," Y/n mumbled. She tried again, louder this time.

*Knock Knock Knock*                                    *Silence*

"Just go in there, he's probably busy." She took a deep breath and went to grab the knob. "It's usually locked, if it doesn't open, I'll go back to the station and-" Her thoughts were cut off by the door suddenly opening ever so slightly. Y/n's blood ran cold, Prince Scaramouche never leaves his door unlocked, let alone not immediately yell at whoever went into his quarters without his permission. She had half a mind to run back to Hisako and tell her.
