/Leona's POV\
Beep......Beep......Beep......Beep......Beep
I was pacing back and forth just wondering if she was okay. "Is she okay!?!" Azul yells.
My ears twitch and move back and forth. "She'll be fine He says. We'll watch her He says." I growl a bit and look at the door waiting. I tap my foot as Azul comes over to me with the rest and I glare at him. "What."
"First, I wanna say thank you. Second, what happened please I need to know."
I scoff and look at Ruggie and Jack and sigh. "Fine, Well first I was just fuckin sleeping before these 2 barged into my room saying Lucius was yelling saying that there is a lioness that was stuck in a hole in the woods. So they were confused like there was a girl on campus and I told Lucius, and he took us to her when we got there she was in a hole we had Jack get her out and I wrapped her up and carried her here. ALSO, I thought you said she would be okay!" I started to growl louder. I heard Jack growl a bit and Ruggie laugh. I saw the twins start to come to his side and I looked at them. " Honestly, it's sad you guys think your' scarin' me right now because yall are lyin' you said she would be safe!"
"She just wanted to see her father! She didn't know the outland of our forest like she does her own okay? She would've been fine if I was there but she didn't want me to be!" Azul stepped up and I huffed. "I'm sorry okay! Although (y/n) is known for these things if you knew her. This is just how she is."
"Excuse me? The lioness is doing just fine you all can go in and see her she expects everyone who helped and Mr. Ashengrotto and the Leechs." We all nodded as we started to head into her room.
/(Y/N) POV\
As I woke up I saw the nurse slowly helping me up. She started to tell me what happened and I nodded because that sounded about right. I remember going to my father and then slowly falling on accident. Then I saw a cat that helped me and then it left to go get help. "Ms. Beast, would you like the people to come in? Some people are waiting for you to wake."
"Oh? Um yes please send them all in. Especially if they are my saviors and my friends Azul, and the leech twins." I whispered and smiled at her. She smiled back and nodded and left to go out to the hallway. I heard arguing until it all stopped and there was just growling and then it was quiet. I heard the nurse and they started to rush in. "Hello!" Immediately by my right side was Azul he gave me a soft hug and a smile.
"I'm so happy you are okay! But why would you go out so late... I told you I would go with you." I looked and him and shook my head.
"You already know I would never let you see my father. The time isn't right just yet. He doesn't wish to meet you just yet. Also, it's safer this way for me." I look up at him.
"Safer. (y/n) Do you think THIS is the safest option? You got hurt. Not to mention that if we didn't find ya you could've been cold and almost died of frostbite. You could've been way more hurt than you were. It's already too dangerous for you here and you have only been here for not even a day." Leona looks down at me and I glare a bit at him and Azul gets up and backs up a bit with the twins.
"If I say it's Safer Kingscholar it is Safer. I know what is best for me, myself, and me. I also know how to keep the people around me safe. If you have a problem with that then maybe you shouldn't have to worry about me and mind your own business. Got it." I glared at him. "I am thankful for you. Trust me I am. However, I can't have you saying what is best for me when YOU have only known me for a day. It's hard for you to say that when you are doing the same thing."
"Right... Sorry (y/n) I didn't mean to overstep. I just need to make sure that you are okay. Although your home life tends to be a bit of an underlined subject. Even with the people you care so much about. You must protect all of us from something big."He sits down next to me and my eyes widen as do the others. It's like he cracked the code and the truth is... I have to... we all are in hiding... if they find us they find our parents. They get all the power they need they will rule the world... we can't have that happen there needs to be balance, and balance is key. If they find me they find my father. They find my father they have the power of the beast and the forest. The balance will then be gone. They will lure the others out and soon they will win. They came close...... that won't happen again. I will be damned if it happens to my friends and the people that they are around.
"I am protecting. I'm always protecting. I have to be protecting if I don't then the balance will be broken. I have to make sure the balance of life and magic are at ease. I can't let anyone know." I look at Leona and he nods and smiles. I then look at Azul and the twins. They look kinda shocked but Azul looks happy he's smiling. I smiled back and then looked at my hands.
"That's what I'm here for." My head snaps to Leona in confusion. "I'm here to also protect that beastman and women that I encounter. You are one of them. Now that you are here you are under my protection... Our protection." I see a hyena and wolf stand and go behind Leona. "These are Ruggie Bucchi and Jack Howl. They also helped out getting you out of that hole."
"Thank you so much I owe you. I truly do." I smiled and I made eye contact with the hyena and we both stopped a bit. "I'm sorry but do I know you from somewhere?" I look closely at him and I slowly get up and he looks at me.
"I'm sorry...um...but your name is (y/n)... Right?.. You have a dad... People are-"
"Usually scared to play with me/you.." We whispered together. The others look confused as Ruggie slowly starts to make his way to me and I stand there trying not to scare him off. he slowly wraps his arms around me and I slowly do the same and smile.
"You need to rest wait what are you doing up! Also, how do you know Ashegrotto the last time I knew you were in the forest with your old man." Ruggie slowly helped me and pushed me back into bed as he covered me up with Azul's help.
"Well that was before-... I can't say. Sorry. But something happened and I met Azul while my father was hiding me out at our beach house." I closed my eyes starting to relax again and I breathed as I started to feel tired again. I noticed that the twins hugged me as I patted their heads they left and so did Jack. Not long after Something happened in Azul's dorm and he had to go soon Ruggie had class. He tried to make Leona go. Although he didn't leave. He stayed with me.
"Go to bed (y/n). You need rest." He sat right next to me as I started to drift off into sleep.
I'm happy I found Ruggie again and I'm happy I have someone watching over me.
