My heart rapidly pounds in my chest as i take a sweaty seat on the chair at my father's desk. His pale Grey eyes are cold, watching me attentively, as his grey hair folds messily on his forehead. I've never seen him so untidy-looking.

He clears his throat, "Acealia, your cheek is turning black by the minute. I have taken it upon me to assign one of my boys to look after you. "

I jolt up, "father! I don't need to be babysat by some rando! "

He inhales sharply, trying to calm himself.

"No complaints, Ace. It's decided. You can't walk into this type of danger anymore. " he points at my bruised cheek.

"Father-"

"No. Whatever your arguement, save it. Im done watching my babygirl get hurt by my rivals. "

I sigh, leaning into my chair, pouting and crossing my arms like a child.

"Now, off you go. I have to finish my work. " he swats me away with his hand.

I grunt, loudly scraping my chair against his beloved vintage wooden floorboards.

He flinches, without speaking, watching me storm out of his study.

As I walk out, I glare at the two bodygaurd's protecting my father's study's entrance.

I scoff, "This is bullshit."

The gaurd doesn't flinch or reply at my remark, continuing to examine the area he's been tasked to.

Dragging my feet toward the grand Staircase at my father's fortress's entrance, moping about my father's words.

This is rediculous! I don't deserve to suffer because of his stupid business. I deserve to be free and safe eveeywhere I go, but instead im contantly being threatetend and hunted like prey everywhere I go.

I turn my key to start up my car as my blood boils.

Sighing, I reverse out of his driveway, passing four more gaurds at his gate. I roll my eyes at the Sight of their heavy machinery weilded in their hands.

"Goodbye dicks! " I yell, giving them all the middle finger as I drive past them.

Neither of them react. Of course.

"And now he's forcing me to be fucking followed and watched by a stupid bodygaurd! " I rant over the phone to my best friend, Delilah.

"Babe, he's got a point. I mean, look at your face! The attacks aren't just emails or freaky texts anymore, they're physical now. " she rambles.

I grunt, "so? I can handle it. He nearly got me that bad. "

"Ace." she warns.

"Whatever.. " I sigh.

"Look, babe. I know it's not how you wanted to spend your adulthood, but look at the reality. Until the stalker gets found, you're gonna need to get somewhere safe and it might not be bad to have some company. "

"I guess. But not the company part, they're bodygaurd's, they don't talk. That's why im complaining because what the fuck should I do with a silent man following me everywhere? Id rather take the stalker's company, that way id have someone to talk to. " I sigh.

She chuckles, "babe, you are so stubborn sometimes. "

"But on a more serious note, you should really listen to him. He's got the best of the best men, im sure you'd forever be grateful for him trying so hard to protect you. " She continues rambling with hope in her tone.
