James POV
“Ahm ahm”, someone clearing their throat pulled me and Lily out of our kiss. I looked up to see Rosmerta standing there with our food in her hands.
“Having fun, kids?“ Rosmerta teased as we both pulled apart and fell into our seats.
“Of course”, I said with a smirk which only widened when I saw Lily blushing like a tomato.
“Thanks, Rosmerta”, Lily said once she passed us our food.
“Oh, it's Rosie, dear. Anyway, enjoy your day”, Rosie winked at the both of us and went over to the other table to take their order.
Lily and I quickly dug into our food as we were incredibly hungry. About 5 minutes went in silence before we both looked up at each other.
“Remember the last time we were here?“ Lily suddenly said. I totally remember the last time we were here. It was the day I brought Meg out and Lily was with Mclaggen.
“Yeah, wasn't a good day for me”, I shook my head before putting a spoon of the chicken into my mouth.
“Neither for me. Mclaggen was horrible”, She shuddered at the memory itself.
“Tell me about it”, I said and tried to get rid of the jealousy washing over me when I thought of that day.
“Were you jealous, Jamesie”, Lils teased with a smirk.
“Jealous? Me? You were the jealous one”, I smirked back at her.
“What? I wasn't jealous. I was just…”, She trailed off and glared at me.
“Careful Evans, or I might think that you have a crush on me”, I teased her and saw the blush rising on her face.
“Oh you wish, Potter. You're an arrogant toe-rag”, She repeated her words from last time which made us both dissolve into laughter.
Lily and I made light conversation about the past and all of our funny dates and kisses throughout the meal. It was easy and fun to be with her like this. I liked how carefree she looked. Her emerald green eyes were glistening as it caught the sunlight and her face was lit with happiness I haven't seen in a long time. Her smile shone so bright that it was able to fight with the sun. Call me cheesy all you want but Lily Evans is gorgeous and amazing. Best part is, she's all mine.
After finishing our lunch, Lily paid when I was in the toilet which kinda made me feel bad but she seemed happy about it so I let it slide. We picked up our bags and walked out into the chill again. We both had warmed up a bit with our butterbeers but the cold breeze that hit made Lily's nose and ears go red. I didn't feel as cold as her, so I quickly took off my Gryffindor scarf and wrapped it around her.
“Where to next?“ I asked as we both didn't want to go back yet.
“Could we stop by Amelia's apothecary? I need to top up on some of the potion items”, Lily asked.
“Sure, come on.“
We both walked a quick distance to the apothecary. Mom always made sure that the boys and me get our stuff at Diagon Alley so I have never been in this shop before. Lily seems to know it well so I just let her take the lead.
The second we stepped into the apothecary, I was hit by various smells. I looked around and saw cauldrons of every size and colour possible, bottles holding colourful liquids of which I don't even know the names of and every item needed to make any type of potion you could think of. It looked awesome but scary at the same time. Lily walked over to a shelf and grabbed a bottle of shredded toad skin while I wondered over to the back of the shop. There I saw a few cauldrons boiling over a slow fire. All were covered with a scoop beside it. On the shelf beside the cauldrons, bottles of various sizes were arranged.
