James's POV
It has been a week since the incident and Lily was recovering well. All of us had gotten into a routine of eating breakfast together, classes, lunch together, classes, quick shower or rest, dinner and sleep.
Most of us had classes together. Minnie gave Lily and I the same classes as we had applied for it by coincidence and also because then we would have the same free periods to work on Head duties together.
So far the Marauders and the girls have been getting along seriously well. Padfoot had a crush on Marls and Moony had developed a crush on Dorcas. Peter was already dating a 6th year Ravenclaw but he never told us much about her and we didn't pry into his business either. He was distant this year and he was never around us anymore. He always slipped away whenever we were hanging with the girls and came back only for the meals sometimes he even missed that. The guys and I wanted to ask him about his new change in behavior but we haven't found the time to do it.
Right now, I was waiting for Lily to come down so we could get some breakfast before classes started. Lily and I had gotten closer than ever. My love for her has deepened tremendously but I didn't want to say anything that might jeopardize our friendship. She was very comfortable around me and when one of us couldn't sleep we would end up in each other's beds comforting one another.
I really wanted to ask her out to hogsmead this weekend but I'm terrified about being rejected again. I might act all tough and laugh it off but really every time Lily said stuff like "Not in a million years, you arrogant toerag" it hurt. Now I'm scared. I'll need to call a Marauders meeting tonight.
"Ready?" Lily's tinkling voice brought me back to Earth.
"Yea. Come on", I replied and both of us left to the Great Hall.
"Morning kids", I say as I drop down in between Sirius and Remus. Peter was already stuffing his face hungrily.
"Morning", they all replied in sleepy voices.
"My my guys. Why are you guys all this tired?" Lily's face was split in curiosity and also a little bit of a smirk.
"We decided to play Truth or Dare but the normal style. Tonight we play Marauders style with you and Lilykins", Sirius announced as he stacked his plate with a large amount of bacon strips.
"Marauders style? What's that?" Lily asked.
Remus and Marlene- she knows about it because she's played with us during the summer breaks- let their heads hit the table with a loud groan. Lily looked more hesitant to hear now as Sirius and I smirked at each other.
"Glad you asked Lily. That Marauders style is when you take a shot of Firewhiskey mixed with Veritaserum if you choose a Truth while you drink a shot of normal Firewhiskey before doing a dare, to increase your adrenaline or whatever. The punishment if you don't want to answer a Truth or you don't want to fulfill a Dare is you have to take 2 shots of Firewhiskey", I said as Sirius practically burst from excitement.
"Firewhiskey? Seriously? How do you guys bring that into the school without getting caught?" Lily was torn between her duty as a Head Girl but also her curiosity.
"That Lilykins, is for us to know and you to never find out", Sirius winked at her as we boys laughed.
Lily's POV
"I'm going to class. Marls, Dorc wanna come?" I said while getting up.
"James will come with you, he's done anyways. We'll bring the girls with us later", Remus said as he and Sirius pushes James towards me even though he was still eating.
