I had to save K.O., not for Dendy, but for him, and me I guess...

I waited until night time when the imposter was asleep, or at least, I was pretty sure he was. I checked on him first thing to make sure he was asleep, and sure enough, he was. I managed to find the golden elevator, hidden. With a shaky, drawn-out breath, I stepped in and hit the button for the bottom-most floor, the subconsious...

It took a couple minutes, but I was hit with fear the moment the doors opened again. I called out to K.O., hoping he'd hear me.

"K.O.?"

I heard something, but it was no real response, instead, just the terrified cries of his anxiety. I stepped out of the elevator, praying to Cob it wouldn't leave me. I remembered the horrible memories of when I was trapped here, but I focused myself on saving K.O. from his own nightmare.

"K.O.!! K.O.?"

I still couldn't hear anything. At least until I heard the snickering coming from the elevator. It was K.O....

"Good luck getting out again, T.K.O...."

I suddenly realized what was going on.

"K.O.!! You can't do this to me again!!"

There was a newfound anger within me, overpowering the previous fear. I rushed towards the elevator, managing to pin K.O. to the wall. I noticed it again- Void dragon!! "You're not even K.O.!! You tricked me!"

"Heh, I knew it wouldn't take long for you to guess. Which is why you must be put away..."

He gave a cruel smile as he shoved me back out of the elevator. He pressed the button to go back up... With all the strength I had, I ran back up and held the door open, trying to call for the real K.O. No one came however... The imposter K.O. pulled me inside the elevator angrily, which allowed the door to start shutting again.

"NO! K.O.!!"

He laughed manically, a crazed look on his face with a crooked, toothy, smile. I faced him, trying to get a hold of him. I couldn't get a proper grip on him though, he was too fast and slippery. He started to taunt me. "What the matter? Not fast enough? You're such a loser!! No wonder K.O. put you away the first time!"

That made my blood boil... "YOU DARE TALK CRAP TO ME!?"

I finally got a punch in. He reeled back, wiping his now bleeding nose. So this thing can be hurt in the mindspace... I took another shot and hit him square in the chest, leaving him on the floor of the slowly rising elevator. Turning to the closed door, I forced all the negative energy I could and blasted it open. That's when I finally saw K.O., sitting in the middle of the void. I shouted to him. "K.O.!" He turned to look up at me, with tears in his eyes. I was mashing the down button to keep the elevator from going back up, it was somewhat working. I gave a desperate look as I tried to reach out to him, since he was now running toward me. The elevator was still just low enough for K.O. to catch my extended hand. I used the last of my strength to pull him up.

The first thing he did was hug me. "T.K.O.! You saved me!!"

I gave him a soft look as I responded, "Of course. I'm you after all. I'd never want what happened to me to happen to you. I had to come save you!"

It was at that moment we both looked at the imposter K.O., who was now weak enough that his disguise faded. He still looked similar to K.O., but he had those full pitch-black wings and tail, horns, and even void-black eyes with glowing, yellow, irises. He glared at us before launching himself at K.O. This wasn't over... I managed to block his path and keep him from hurting K.O. I just had to keep going long enough until we got to the top, or I could knock him out...

It was a long couple of minutes trying to dodge and keep K.O. protected from this ruthless creature, but eventually, I knocked it completely out. It now layed on the floor of the elevator with almost glittery, black blood flowing from its nose and mouth.

"Yikes... We're gonna have to clean that up."

"Yeah-" K.O. replied.

He returned to hugging me, thankful for helping and protecting him. It was hard to hug him back considering I was so exhuasted.

"Thanks so much T.K.O., you're the best." He had a huge smile on his face as he thanked me.

"I'd do anything to keep you safe."
