Dendy and I talked about possibilities for a while before we finally started to conclude something. After a while of not haven spoken she perked up a little.
"I beleive I might know what happened..."
"Really?" For once I was excited for something besides freedom.
She breathed a hesitant sigh, "It's entirely possible that this new K.O. is an impostor. Perhaps some kind of demon."
"That seems a little obvious, but how do I get rid of it?"
She had a determined expression. "First, you'll need to bring the real K.O. back..."
I gulped, realizing what she meant... I had to save him from the subconscious... "I want K.O. back just as much as everyone else but I'm not ready to go back to that void!" I guess I interrupted her, because she meant to continue.
She stayed quiet for a second before actually going on. "Anyway, once the real K.O. is back, then I'll have to separate the two of you."
"Huh?" I was actually dumbstruck for a moment, she could do that??? "Wha- You can do that!?"
She nodded. "I've been working on this for a while."
"You have!?"
Now Dendy seemed irritated. "Yes."
"Sorrey-" I finally realized how irritated she was.
She sighed, very clearly agitated by me. Look I'm trying, okay? I gave her a slightly irritated look in return.
She continued, "Anyway. You're going to have to save the real K.O."
"Jeez, I know!" I crossed my arms, frustrated. I thought back to that terrifying void. "I know where he is but... I-." I started to stutter, geting a little shaky. "I don't wanna go back..."
She looked confused. "Back where?"
"Th-the subconcious..." Even just saying it out loud horrifed me beyond belief. I was still so terrified of that place.
She slightly tilted her head, looking confused. "Is there a problem?"
I managed to forget who I was talking to and got angry. "Yes there's a problem! K.O. locking me there in the first place literally gave me trauma!! Of course I'm not gonna be willing to go back! Why would I!?" I huffed for a second, before realizing I'd been yelling, then in a quieter tone I said, "Sorry-"
She was surprised to say the least, adjusting her glasses- goggles? whatever they were, for a second before continuing. "I see..." She seemed to pause for a moment thinking, while I just stood there nervously. "I know it will be extremely hard for you, however, the longer K.O. stays in there, the worse things will get. Since you have experience there, you might want to consider K.O.'s feelings as well."
I had only just realized that. He was pretty much crying when I dreamed about him, of course he'd be just as scared as I was, if not more so. I knew what I had to do, even though I wouldn't like it one bit... "I'll do it... Tonight..."
AAUUUUGH IT'S BEEN SO LONG I'M SORREEEEEY!!!! I ended up with some severe writing block and couldn't finish this because I had no ideas, and I want these chapters to be at the very least somewhere around or above 500 words.
