The light of the sun began to fade. "Pearl, come with me." Rose stepped onto a warp pad. Pearl nodded. "Yes ma'am."
Rose turned to Pearl.
"Oh, no! Please, there's no need to be so formal! Call me Rose, please." Pearl tilted her head.

This gem is so... different. She's almost like another soldier,

"Okay, Rose..." The warp pad brought them to a beautiful field, where there was a pyramid temple.
"We'll be hiding a gem in there," Rose said. Homeworld machines cut down grass and weeds as far as the eye could see.
"The field is almost ready for battle..." a gem said.

What does home world need a battle field for?

There was no need for a battle with the humans. This was just a stop along the way, a mere Kindergarten planet.

Rose jumped up some floating islands. When Pearl reached the top, Rose was sitting.

"Pearl, please sit. " Pearl sat down beside Rose. "Pearl, this planet is so beautiful, every human, every animal, every second,"

Pearl nodded. "And the Sunsets are beautiful. " Rose smiled.

"It doesn't deserve this. This planet has just as much right to exist Homeworld does! Somebody needs to stop them, we can't just go to war and destroy this planet, which has the only intelligence for light years! " Pearl was taken back by Rose's declaration. Rose stood up.

"Pearl," She began.

"Yes?" Pearl replied, unsure.

"I'm going to stay and fight for this planet. You don't have to Do this with me," Rose looked to her right.

"But I want to!" Pearl realized that it wasn't Home world she loved fighting for, it was Rose.

Rose looked at Pearl. "I know you do. But please, please, understand, if we lose we die, and if we win, we can never go home,"

Pearl chuckled nervously. "Why would I want to go home, if you're here?"

This time Rose chuckled. ""My Pearl," she reached out her hand, and Pearl held it.

Never leave, Pearl silently begged.
