For some reason, you were not feeling excessively annoyed with your existence inside a classroom. Sure, whenever the chance to leave your classrom comes along, you take it quickely, running away as if you're being chased down by a man with a hammer, but that also happens when you try to outrun a crowded classroom, not an empty one.
Being here with Atsumu Miya while you two are joking around in the midst of you trying to correct his work and answering questions he had wrong felt different. It just felt different. It wasn't an environment you wanted to escape. Sure, students were no where to be found, and you were practically left deserted in a place with only Miya Atsumu, but you should have felt at least disturbed? Anxious? Uncomfortable? But no. For some reason, being with him was... refreshing. Maybe because he wasn't at all as judgemental as you thought him to be, or maybe because somehwere in your cold, dead heart a spot inside of you grew some sort of affection for another human-being besides yourself.
You were really enjoying it. Really. Until his twin and his friend decided to ruin it.
"Yo, Miya!" A tall male, which isn't really much of a surprise to you considering you were in the presence of Miya Atsumu, shouts while coming inside. "Why were you not at the canteen today?"
"Tsumu," his twin, Osamu, comes right after, "your lunch has gotten cold so I ate it. You missed Mom's fried rice. Sucks to be you."
The way they come to a dreadfal pause when their eyes fell on you says a whole lot of things about them than about you, but your stomach made a little twist regardless. You hate when people do this in your presence: dramatically stop whatever they are doing to make sure you understand how disturbed they are by your existence.
"Hey, guys. Sorry I wasn't around at recess. I was kinda trying to work on my chemistry homework. I don't understand a thing from it," Atsumu waves his pencil in their direction without lifting his eyes from his book, "and Samu, I wish you've at least choked three times on my lunch."
Osamu closes his gaped mouth to point his accusatory eyes towards his twin. "You were trying to work on.. chemistry?"
"Actual school stuff? Really?" The tall friend adds. You can clearly catch the rise in his tone, teasing fully operated despite his bitch blank face. You and Atsumu just stare at them without any feelings on your faces.
"Rin," Osamu begins, tilting his head towards the tall male.
"Yes, Osamu?" The tall male tilts his head back, his eyes caught with yours.
"I don’t think i know who this guy right here is. I thought he was my brother but this man is at best a fraud."
"Because Atsumu doesn’t work on school stuff?"
Osamu whips his head towards this Rin guy with huge, unbelievable eyes. "Don’t act as if that's a regular, daily routine for him," he point at Atsumu with a dramatically shakey finger "take this monster away from me!"
Atsumu stares with an unfaltering face, blank, and next to him, you bite on your finger so your huge smile isn't showing. You hadn't even considered Osamu to have such a playful personality when he was all serious in court. The times you accidentally caught him wandering the school halls didn't give you a clue about his raunchy mood either. He always looked so stiff and... grim, but perhaps you were wrong about him the way you were wrong about Atsumu.
"You're so melodramatic, Samu," sighs Atsumu. "Why can’t l have a few minutes alone of doing school stuff?"
Osamu ignores him. "Suna, he keeps on talking and saying things that don't make sense! Squash him under your foot like a cockraoch, Suna. Squash him!"
"You're such a dumbass."
Osamu then wipes his dramatic face and gives Atsumu his usual blank one. "Anyway, for real. Were you actually choosing working on school homework rather than eat lunch?"
