Atsumu and the team are all exiting the gym after a hectic day full of training to go home when he, not so suddenly, notices you walking ahead of him. You're wearing your uniform coupled with a thick scarf and jacket and long winter socks. Actually, it's not even winter yet, but he doesn't know that you get chilly easily so you bundle up whenever you can everytime the weather is a little bit cold.He and everyone, on the other hand, are running on steam from the heavy workout they had to endure during the day, and although they showered before going out, he's still too hot. Steam wrapped up around him, heat flushing his cheeks; not even the chilly autumn breeze can take it away. Seeing you all wrapped up makes him sweat at the back, so he fans himself with his hands, although that does little to chill him out.
Suna and Osamu apparently catch you walking ahead as well, and Osamu nudges his brother with his elbow. "Isn't that [your name]? What's she doing going home so late? School ended hours ago."
Atsumu nudges his brother back, although a whole lot aggressively, "how should I know?"
Suna hums, hands inside his tracksuit's pockets, "I'd think your gaping idiocy and your dog-like enthusiasm to befriend her would have gotten you closer to her than that."
Osamu looks at Suna blankly, "Tsumu's not good at making friends. What did you expect? He's even worse with girls."
Atsumu pulls his hands from his jacket's pockets to shove Osamu properly. He watches his twin stumble sideways comically before growling, "I can be good at doing whatever I want if I want to!"
"I thought you wanted to?" Suna asks, "I thought you liked [your name] enough to get to know her?"
"We've only been friends for a few weeks. How should I know everything about her so quickly?"
Osamu and Suna stare at him flatly before Osamu shoves him back, "you scrub. You ask questions, that's how."
Osamu's shove is a lot harder than his twin, and Atsumu goes flying and almost lands flat on his face. He holds himself impeccably, however, and turns around to glare at him. Suna snickers when he jumps Osamu, and the twins, again, begin to fight. The commotion alerts you, you who have been loooking down at the ground and kicking pepples around.
You look backwards, curious, and finds the entirety of inarzaki vollyball team behind you. You yelp, surprised, and is about to look forward and run away when you notice Atsumu fighting with his twin.
At first, you just stare at them. They're both scowling, and their hair is already sticking around everywhere from their fight. Atsumu's holding Osamu's collar while the latter is yanking on Atsumu's hair. You tilt your head to the side. Their anger seems real, but you couldn't help but feel that it's exaggerated; dramatic, like they always ended up in this non-amiacle air. With the rumors around them, you knew for a fact that it's real.
"Tsumu," you call, cutting off his palm-deck to his brother's nose. He looks at you like a cat being caught eating after midnight. "What are you doing?"
"Uh, nothing," Atsumu quickly lets go of his brother, patting his clothes and fixing any wrinkle. The entire team looks at you like you've grown a second head. They recognise you as the girl who had waved at Atsumu when you delivered a paper to their coach, but they hadn't expected you to have such a hold on Atsumu. Which they should've, considering how he ran to meet you all the way outside.
You smile at him, a small smile, still a bit hesitant to be your loud, eccentric self after what he said about you. "Did you finish practice?"
It's Suna that answers, his face blank but eyes exceptionally cheeky. "Yup, yup. What about you, [your name]? It's late. We didn't think we'd see you at this time."
