Who else would it be?

Chapter one

Contract signing:

I enter my new apartment located in the North of London. I quickly place down a few of the boxes that were in my hands and check the time on my phone; 12:56 pm. I realised that at 1:30 pm I had to get to the actual training ground to sign my contract. As much as I wished I could empty these boxes, I really couldn't.

I grab my car keys out my pocket before walking out the door and getting in. Then, I put on my seatbelt and drive *definitely at the speed limit..* to the training ground where Jonas is waiting for me, 1:25 pm. Thank the lord I'm early.

"Hello Amelia!" He smiles whilst I get out the car and shut the door

"Hey Jonas" I grin giving him a hand shake

"It's lovely to meet you" he says "but I believe we have something to sign"

"I believe we do" I laugh as I begin to follow him

He gives me a quick rushed tour of the place before taking me to the briefing room where my future on paper lies neatly with a pen next to it. I sit down in the chair and pick up the pen before looking directly into the camera with a huge smile.

After the picture, I carefully sign the paper and that's that. I'm officially and arsenal player. I stand back up and Jonas presents me my new shirt, it's beautiful.

"Thank you so much" I smile whilst grabbing it and taking yet another picture but with Jonas this time.

Meeting the girls:

He shows me out to the pitch where All the girls were training, I was told that I'd begin tomorrow at 9 am. We stand at the sideline whilst he tells me more about them and how excited they all were to have me join. I look back over to them and See Kim, Caitlin and Leah rush over to me.

"I can't believe you're actually here!!" Caitlin squeals pulling me into an excited hug which I return

"I know right!"

"I've missed you" Kim says pulling me into a hug as well

I've played for Scotland 8 times in the past 2 years and Kim has been the most supportive teammate ever, we'd always be one another's roommate and we're practically sisters.

"I've missed you to K" I mumble before giving Leah a grin and hugging her

"Hello you" she smiles

"Hey Le" I reply

The other girls soon walked over and introduced themselves to me, they all seemed nice. Except one, McCabe. Instead we give each other a quick look and began conversations with others.

"It's lovely to have you here" Lotte smiles and I nod my head

"Thanks Lotte"

"Anytime"

Leah and Caitlin eagerly grab my hands and begin showing me around the place properly, stopping every once in a while and explaining what the rooms are for.

My favourite was the relax room, there was a bunch of games, Films, Arcade machines etc which was super cool. They said we can go in there at lunch and after to chill which they do quite often. Apparently no one has managed to beat Jen at ping pong but I don't think that's true. It won't be once I've played her that's for sure.

"Oh! I forgot to mention Ams" Leah replies "tonight, at mine, most the girls are coming over for a while - you should come"

"Are you sure?" I reply unsure of the idea

"I'm positive" she smiles

"Then I'll be there"

Getting ready & Leah's house:

I go through my clothes trying to find something that looks nice but in all honesty all I have is jogger bottoms, baggy tops, jumpers and a few shorts/jeans. Thankfully I don't have to dress smart...

I grab some grey joggers bottoms and a top and chuck it on me, I don't think they'll care right? I then brush my hair and put on my coat and shoes before walking out my house and getting in my car.

Leah's house isn't far from mine so it's only a 10 minute drive down the road, once I manage to park my car I get out and knock on the door nervously.

"Here she is!" Leah shouts pulling me into a quick hug followed by a kiss on the cheek, I'm rushed inside and into a busy living room where the girls are

"Hey" they all say

"Hi guys" i stutter back before following Leah to a spare seat on the sofa

She hands me a drink before starting a conversation with all the girls, We're all talking except for Katie whose scrolling on her phone completely oblivious to what's going on around her.

"Let's play a game" Beth grins and we all agree

"What game though?" Viv asks

"Truth or dare?" Beth replies and all the girls excitedly nod their head as if they were 12.

Caitlin asks Leah truth or dare, to which it was a dare. Caitlin dared her to let herself post something on Leah's insta and she can't take it down for the night. She took her phone and scrolled to an embarrassing photo and uploaded it making all the girls laugh as they saw it.

A few rounds later Beth was asking, she had a mischievous grin on her face as she says Katie's name

"Dare" Katie huffs

"I dare you.." she pauses for a second before laying her eyes on me "to do 7 minutes in heaven with Amelia in Leah's room"

All the girls laugh except us

"Why am I getting punished" I ask annoyed

"Couldn't help it" she shrugs and I look Katie in the eyes

"I wouldn't be surprised if they both come out with bruises all over one another" Leah jokes

I clench my jaw before getting up and following Katie upstairs to Leah's bedroom, we shut the door and sit on opposite sides of the bed. I put a timer on my phone and hope for the awkwardness to be over with quickly.

3 minutes go by and neither of us say a word, it also becomes very hot. I stand up which catches her attention and I begin to take of my jumper I previously put on in the car on the way here. Embarrassingly my shirt pulled up and stayed like that, I say Katie's eyes make their way to my stomach and she stares

"Take a picture McCabe it'll last longer" I tease and she rolls her eyes

"Don't hype yourself up I wasn't even looking" the Irish said in defence and I laugh

"Whatever you say"

I sit back down and look at the ceiling, I sigh

"I give up" i grunt getting off the bed and as I'm about to walk out the door I feel a strong grip around my arm

"I am not losing a dare because of you" she says in a stern tone, I sigh as she drags me back down to the bed and we wait in silence again until the alarm goes

"Finally" I mumble walking out the room quickly

We make our way back downstairs not even looking at one another, I sit back down next to Leah and yawn, the game then continues and soon after we agree to stop.

Leah grabs some snacks from her cabinets and lays them down on the table to eat from as we all snuggle up and watch a film. The only spear seat for Katie was, unfortunately, next to me, I gave her the look as she sat down next to me and shuffled as far away from me as she could.

Jen noticed this and laughed to which we both rolled our eyes and focused on the film that was being shown. Halfway through, I felt Katie's thigh brush against mine and when I went to look at her she had her brown eyes fixed at the TV. I decided to take no notice of it and continue watching. She did it again, to be honest I didn't care enough to tell her to move so instead I continued watching the TV.

Whatever she was doing I didn't care
