Chapter ten

Slowly, I open my eyes to see I'm laying on my sofa on top of What looks to be Katie's lap. I bring my hands to my eyes and rub them.

Katie was already awake, scrolling on her phone. When she notices I'm awake she smiles at me.

"Morning sleeping beauty" she says turning her phone off

"Morning" I mumble slowly sitting up

"Sleep well?"

"Surprisingly yes" I admit and she grins

I roll my eyes as I know what she's thinking about, I pull my hair out of the pony tail I had put it in and sat normally on the sofa with my head on Katie's shoulder.

She puts the TV on and we both sit there watching the news like old grannies.

"Morning love birds" Lily says as her and Lauryn walk into the front room sitting down on the opposite sofa

"More like morning love birds to you two" I tease and they go bright red

"Shut up" Lily says as she goes on her phone

Lauryn also goes on her phone and they soon start giggling whilst pointing their cameras at us

"Lily I swear to god if you're sending muggies of me to your friends" I warn her standing up

She slowly stands up and walks backwards towards her room, I begin chasing after her until she locks herself in the room.

"Just you wait" I shout with my head against the door

I hear her laugh and I roll my eyes walking back into the living room.

I sit back down and begin talking with Lauryn.

"You know, I feel bad for you Laur" I sigh "being with that thing, kissing it"

I pretend to throw up and the sisters laugh at me, then I hear the door unlock and open. I choose to be a nice sister and leave her alone.

She comes and sits back down cautiously edging closer to Lauryn gradually.

Me:
Sounds perfect, time? x

7pm, can arrive early or late if you need x

Me:
Alright thanks Beth x

"I have us a party" I smirk at Katie, staring at her lips

"where and when?"

"Beth and vivs, seven" I smile standing up and stretching.

"Lucky us"

She also stands up and I look to Lily

"Will you be okay at home? I can give you £20 to get some dinner and stuff" I ask

"Yeah mum always left me at home if I didn't feel like going with her" she smiles reassuringly and I nod my head

I walk to my bedroom to go find an outfit and Katie follows, I shut the door once she enters and she flops onto my bed whilst I look through my wardrobe.

"What to wear" I whine looking up to the ceiling

Katie laughs adoringly at me which makes me melt.

"Wear" she says standing up and wrapping herself behind me "something nice"

I huff "that's what I'm trying to do!"

She smiles

"Relax, it's just a party, Beth and Viv won't care" she reassures me

I nod my head before grabbing a nice top and some shorts, I then head to my ensuite to change and I hear Katie sigh

"Alright there McCabe?"

"Yes" she mumbles

I swiftly change into my new clothes and walk back in, chucking my dirty clothes in my wash basket.

I lay on the bed next to the brunette and stare at the ceiling, zoned out.

The younger two must've been play fighting because all I could hear was their laughs and screams coming from the living room, which admittedly was a bit weird.

"Them kids" Katie laughs

I laugh to then it goes back to an awkward silence, the tension palpable.

Suddenly I feel soft skin make their way to my face which is turned. I'm facing Katie and her eyes are focused on my lips.

I look at hers and she moves closer to me before connecting our lips together passionately.

I pull away smiling

"We best stop, I've just changed" I tease and she rolls her eyes

I get up and hum whilst doing my hair, in the mirror I could see Katie admiring me. We made eye contact and she went red out of embarrassment before looking away. I turn to face her, she was laying on her side facing me. Her eyes darted around the room and her brunette hair was in her usual pony tail.

"Is The McCabe flustered?" I say mouth open

She grabs a pillow and throws it at me, it bounces of my head and knocks water everywhere.

We look at each other mouth wide open trying not to laugh.

"That's my bad" she laughs out standing up and using my clean clothes to wash it up

"Katie!" I yell before pushing her over and grabbing my clothes

"That's not nice" she mumbles trying to hold back her grin knowing I was actually kinda mad about it

I roll my eyes before putting my clothes down and going to the kitchen to get a cloth.

The girls must've been asleep on the sofa as it was silent and they were holding each other strongly in their sleep.

They were so cute together, I'm glad Lily is happy.

"Ams?" I hear Katie whine from my room

"What" I say back walking in

"I'm sorry" she says laying on her back on top of my duvet

"Are you?" I say raising my eye brow

She nods giving me a sincere look so I go to her before placing my lips on hers and kissing her, she places her hand on both sides of my face gently.

She deepens it excitedly before moving her lips down to my neck.

"Katie-"

I try push her off which she reluctantly agrees to before looking into my eyes, I smile kissing the side of her cheek and standing up with her.

"Best get going" I sigh looking at my watch

"Want me to drive?" She asks and I nod

"I'd love to be a passenger princess for once" I grin
