Enzo's POV
I'm on call with my boys while we play some random ass video game Joey found. It's lowkey kinda boring.
"Not gonna lie, this shit is ass, Joey." I tell him truthfully.
He responds through his mic. "Man, shut the hell up."
"Yea dude, weren't you the one that got your ass beat by the new kid?" They begin laughing.
"Yea hows that jaw of yours?" They continue laughing harder.
These guys can be annoying as hell sometimes. "Fuck off, you crazy if you think he beat my ass."
"Whatever you say bro." Joey finishes laughing along with the rest of the boys.
After an hour most of them had to leave the call, now it's only me and Joey left. Joey is my day one, he's been there for me ever since the 2nd grade and even though I'd never tell him, I'm lowkey really grateful for him.
A voice calls from the other side of the phone. It's Joeys mother.
Joey looks back at the camera. "Yo Enzo, I gotta get off and eat dinner, it's one of those nights my mom sits the whole family down to eat dinner together or whatever. I'll see you tomorrow at school."
I reach my hand out for where my phone was perched up next to my moniter. "Alright man, see ya."
He hangs up the call.
My stomach then loudly growls and I head downstairs to eat some dinner.
The maid had placed a plate of pasta in front of where I usually sit, to be honest, I had been really wanting some ever since not being able to eat any at school today.
I sit down at the end of the long table. All the seats are empty, just like they usually are.
The noise of the silverware against the plate echoes around the large and isolated dining room.
After I finish my food I sit at the table for a while. I rest my head on my hand, and begin thinking to myself.
My parents are going to be pissed once they find out about the fight. It's all thanks to that new Lucas kid. Why couldn't he just mind his own business and stay out of my way like everyone else does?
And why is he hanging around Alora? Now her life is going to be less miserable than I want it to be.
My mind goes blank for a second.
I really hate Alora.
Just thinking of her makes me feel full of rage. I mean just look at her, I hate how she's so nerdy that she was even able to get into an elite school. I hate the way she wears her uniform, her skirt is always down to her knees and her blouse is always tucked in. I hate how her hair is always out of her face, with it either being in a pony tail or held back with a headband. Don't even get me started on the days where she uses her glasses that make her eyes shrink to twice it's size.
... Fuck.
This is why I need distractions in my life. If there's none then my mind will just wonder off to places I don't want it to be.
