Song Dedication: Give Me Your Forever by Zack Tabudio

"I want you to know that you'll be the one. And I'll the be guy who'll be on his knees. To say 'I love you' and 'I need you'. And say 'I'd die for you.'" ;))

10 - 14

By halftime, the Panthers were down by four points, which wasn't relatively bad, but it was by far, the largest comparative scale the Panthers were ever down by. An air of tense anticipation soaked the stadium, seeping into everyone's bones as the players bounded down their respective tunnels for the halftime break.

Emotions were at an all-time high, the Panthers teetering in frustration at the Diamonds' lead. I could practically feel it on my skin.

Edrian spoke heatedly with the coach at the rink opening, both their faces grim, before he raced off to the tunnel where the rest of his team had left minutes ago. Just as he passed the rink barrier though, he slowed, just enough, to catch my eye. We made eye-contact, and it must've lasted for less than a minute, but it ruptured something inside me within seconds.

He disappeared behind the wall, and I turned to face Cara and Lily, their faces sour at the scoreboard.

"I think I should leave," I said, louder now that the commotion had resumed once everybody had finished gawking. Only the occasional peek and glance still prodded my skin.

Their heads whipped to me.

"What? Why?" Cara demanded.

"I'm pretty sure I'm the reason they're losing."

Edrian was distracted, and I knew because I would be pretty blind not to see the number of times he'd lost focus of the puck because he was looking at me.

"You're just too pretty, babe," Cara joked. "That's not your fault."

I gave her a look. "I'm not going to be the reason why the Panthers don't win the championship rounds, C. I'm leaving."

My tone left no room for argument.

"Fine, but we're coming-"

"No, you guys should stay."

Lily frowned.

"I'm okay. I'll go find Bryan. You guys shouldn't have to miss out on the game just because I am."

They looked to each other then to me, before Cara reassured, "We don't mind. The guys can come find us if they're not already having some kind of after party."

I shook my head and leaned closer to them to avoid eavesdroppers, which I was sure, there were plenty.

"I'm getting tired of all the...you know." I subtly gestured to the crowd. "Plus, the camera keeps panning to me and I feel like I'm a second away from flashing somebody. This dress and that angle are not my friends."
