The girl from Gwangju spent the next months training and getting used to it speaking standard Korean. It was a major pain the rear end at the beginning. She can somewhat speak, but her Jeolla accent still comes out.
She has met some trainees here and there that were decent. With her being the oldest she was kind of seen as an "unnie with a funny accent". Only friends she was able to make was Jihyun and Boram. Boram, being a wealthy daughter of a famous singer, and Jihyun who was part of rock band. Since they were close in age they quickly got along.
Hong Jinyoung felt nervous stepping on stage. She has trained her voice to sing these types of songs, but she this will be her first live performances.
"Come on Jinyoung get a hold of yourself! Ya been through this before. Just step on that stage and knock out the ballpark!" She hyped herself up. She then heard her name being called.
"Guess it's time for the ole show to get started." Jinyoung said before she excited waved herself and the backup dancers. She sang of the songs that given to her called Love Battery, a love song about wanting to be filled up after feeling empty emotionally.
Jinyoung was trying to hold her laugh at the innuendos being sung. Part to what makes trot unique is the clever wordplay. For that Jinyoung could appreciate it.
