T-ara has been short of a massive success, scoring their win with Time to Love and becoming a viral sensation with the catchy and addicting dance: Bo Peep Bo Beep. Core Content Media or CCM has established themselves as a promising agency.
Another moderately successful group is the talented vocal duo Davichi consisting of Lee Haeri and the younger Park Minkyung. Both women delved to the world of ballads with their sentimental love songs.
SeeYa was another group that has collaborated with T-ara from time to time. They debuted long before them, being the first group CCM has ever managed. Nam Gyuri's unexpected departure has created problems so to help alleviate the conflict, they added a replacement but more internal has started to cast doubts for the group's future.
SG Wannabe was the male counterpart to Davichi, only that it was four members. Each of them have extensive background in music and often performs with SeeYa. They are in the middle of a hiatus owing to one of the members battling mental health problems.
There were other groups like Supernova and Black Pearl. Both were other attempts of trying to cash in the Hallyu Wave, but neither could compare to the popular T-ara.
And so the CCM had this brilliant idea to create a male and female group that would be spilt into separate units. SeeYa member Soomi was chosen to lead the female division and Kwanghaeong for the male division.
The group consisted of rapper Taewon, pretty boy Jungwoo, and the teenage Choi Sungmin, Huh Chanmi, formally an SM trainee and potential candidate for Girls Generation, athlete Noori, the hot tempered Kangho, the tomboy Hyewon, and Hyoyoung, older twin to Hwayoung.
One of the most challenging task was getting this rag-tag group to work together. Noori and Kangho would always fight during training and Hyoyoung would be at odds with Hyewon. CCM somehow managed to complete their training for their grand debut. The song was almost a call and response to the boys and girls who in the midst of a love battle.
