Hell, a place of the damned, where sinners are sent to rot for all of eternity. Lead by the fallen angel Lucifer himself, this nightmare of biblical proportions is home to constant carnage, crime and crapulence. Every year this sin-filled plane of existence is subjected to an apocalypse level event named "The Extermination", in which an army of Heaven's fiercest and most bloodthirsty warriors are sent out to take care of the ever increasing demon population.

Vergil, a white wolf, who looks no older than 23 years of age, finds himself thrown into this terror for crimes committed, yet either unknown or long forgotten. Upon waking up in this living nightmare, his head starts aching badly, his eyesight starts getting fuzzy to a point he cannot see any of his surroundings and his strength is completely gone to a point where can barely hold himself up. All of a sudden, the canine feels a hard kick to his chest along with what appears to be four male voices. He doesn't listen to whatever the men were saying as right now his first priority was to get to safety and find a way to deal with this throbbing headache and near total blindness. He tries to get up, however the criminals notice this and one of them kicks the wolf in the stomach as hard as he can.

The wolf throws up on another criminal's shoes which earns the canine an absolutely vicious beating. The thugs were pretty much relentless in beating the stuffing out of Vergil. He was getting thrashed around like a ragdoll by the criminals for about 10 minutes before he found himself on the ground with broken ribs, exposed muscles, broken legs and a completely shattered left hand. Somehow the canine is still breathing so 3 men get to a nearby car to get something to neutralize him permanently, leaving the last man, a big burly imp to keep the canine 'company'.

Dragon: Vergil! Vergil! Get the fuck up!

Vergil: I can't damn it!! This place has it out for me! Can't move, can't see, can't even make a single damn thought!

Dragon: I'm aware! Now tag me in!!

After about 5 seconds, the 3 criminals find that the wolf has disappeared and instead in his place was the scattered remains of their now deceased colleague. The leader doesn't seem disturbed however the two other criminals behind him are shivering in fear, seeing as the criminal they left Vergil with was the strongest they had. However, before the boss could even utter a word, the two imps behind the leader get their skulls eviscerated by Vergil, who runs his claws through the henchmen's heads. That leaves the boss as the last man standing.

The boss locks eyes with Vergil, big mistake. As the wolf then roars into his face, making the previously powerful imp shake in his stylish boots before dropping onto his knees. The wild wolf takes advantage of this opening by putting his hands together and slamming them down on the leader's head, making him explode into a pile of muscles, bones and intestines.

When a night lamp shines on top of the street, signaling night time and for the residents to go home, Vergil appears to be standing amidst all the carnage both he and the imps caused, his body appears to have fully healed itself. The wolf finds a nearby car window to look at himself and check if there are any major changes as the headache from earlier had him worried. Thankfully there were no abnormalities on his body, the tattoo on the back of his left hand was still there, but when he checked his head, he saw that his eyes changed from white with baby blue irises to red with white irises.

He has officially become a resident of this wretched place.

His dragon consciousness whistles within the wolf's head

Dragon: Love the new eyes! Sells the killer vibe way more.

Vergil: Shut up.

Dragon: Awww, I saved our ass not 30 seconds ago and this is how you repay me? I'm hurt

With the last sentence he says, the dragon consciousness plays up the melodrama to 11 and pretends to cry. Vergil resists, however when he hears the dragon fake crying, he just can't hold himself together and bursts into laughter, which of course would've absolutely creeped out the nearby residents, if there were any to begin with.

Upon the laughter subsiding, Vergil takes a deep breath and sets off to find any kind of shelter, supplies, really anything to improve the current situation. After wandering around he stumbles upon a pretty big flashing neon sign in front of a building. The sign appeared to have the initials I.M.P on it. Wondering what the hell that stood for, he entered the building, with the hopes that he could at the very least get some kind of information to improve the situation the hell canine has found himself in.
