Chapter 15 - Resolution, Revelations, and Really Good Cupcakes

Because Every Ending Deserves a Sprinkle of Sweetness

As the entire group gathered on the grass, our eyes fixed on the familiar silhouette of the school, a mixture of nostalgia and anticipation filled the air. With just one last month remaining, we were on the brink of bidding farewell to a chapter that held countless memories.

Chloe, always the sentimentalist, sighed, "Can you believe it's almost over?"

Leo chimed in with his usual laid-back demeanor, "Time flies when you're surviving high school drama."

Lily, the perpetual optimist, added, "But hey, we're moving on to bigger and better things, right?"

Lucas, ever the realist, smirked, "Bigger things, sure. Better? Remains to be seen."

Chloe nudged him playfully, "Come on, Mr. Skeptic, we'll make it better. Together."

Aurora, reflecting on the shared journey, remarked, "It feels like we've been through everything together."

Ambrose, with a wry smile, teased, "Except surviving Lily's cooking experiments."

Lily mockingly gasped, "Hey! My culinary adventures are a work of art."

The banter continued, a symphony of laughter and shared jokes that echoed the bonds we had formed over the years. As we looked at the school, contemplating the unknown future, there was a sense of unity that transcended the confines of high school.

With plans to attend the same university, the curtain might be falling on this chapter, but the story of our friendship was far from over. As we exchanged goofy remarks and playful banter, the prospect of new adventures beckoned, promising a continuation of the laughter, camaraderie, and enduring friendships that had defined our high school days.

In the soft glow of the evening, Lily, Chloe, and I decided to steal a moment away from the guys for some girl talk. We settled on a cozy spot, and Lily, ever the conversational catalyst, couldn't wait to dive in.

In the midst of our girl talk, Lily brought up a more serious topic. She looked around to ensure our privacy before saying, "Okay, on a different note, can we talk about something more real? Like, why is there still a stigma around menstruation?"

Chloe nodded in agreement, "Seriously, it's a natural thing that half the population experiences, and yet it's treated like a secret mission."

I chimed in, "Right? It's like we're living in the dark ages sometimes. Why can't we just openly discuss it without feeling embarrassed?"

Lily sighed, "I dream of a world where asking for a tampon isn't met with hushed tones and discreet handoffs."

Our conversation shifted gears into a more meaningful discussion about breaking down taboos and normalizing conversations around menstruation. As we shared our thoughts and experiences, it felt empowering to address a topic that often lingered in the shadows.

As the group gathered again, the atmosphere was filled with a mix of nostalgia and excitement. Ambrose and I were planning a two-day trip, but before heading out, we wanted to soak in the company of our friends.
