Chapter Six - Mal0: Lights! Camera! Me?
"Alright, I'm picking up on day five. Recently, Todd began to show some sort of creepy side to him, and he then had a nightmare, where I'm guessing he killed 'The Not Him', and will never be creepy again. By the time I woke him up, he was already shivering in a cold sweat. He fell asleep, and I gave him my big blanket I'd usually use. Later, he woke me up in the morning telling me he had to go to 'Magdonal' again. I hate when Todd leaves to go to work, because I'm constantly worried that the SCP Foundation might find either of us, and we'd never see each other again. Later that day, I looked up tips to socially interact with people, how to start a conversation, how to read what people are thinking, and how to spend time with friends normally. I hope Todd comes back, it's noon now. -Mal"
I put down the pen, frowning.
"I don't like this part, it's kind of depressing." I think to myself as I hide the 'Notebook' underneath the pillow.
While I was doing research on social interactions a little while ago, I found out that it wasn't 'Knowtoobook', it was simply, 'Notebook'. It's confusing, isn't it?
I check the time again "12:46 P.M. Sh(oot), he might not actually make it back. SHI(mi-shimi)! SHI(bidibidobap)! SH(iny)! SHI(bibob)!" I think, my eyes tearing up at the thought of Todd dead on a sidewalk.
Someone knocks on the door, and I answer it eagerly. It wasn't Todd, it was that woman I saw that told Todd he was dumb.
The woman looked skeptical about the door opening, since she can't actually see me. -Somehow, Todd is able to see me.
The woman takes her phone out of her pocket, and calls someone.
Todd's voice on the phone says, "Hullo? What is it Sadie?"
"Todd! He's alright!" I excitedly think to myself, "-and late."
The woman now known as "Sadie" answers, "I know that you're trying to prank me. It isn't going to work. I don't believe in ghosts."
Todd says panicked, "Go away, besides, I'm not even home."
Sadie retorts, "Then explain how your door 'magically' opened its locks, turned the doorknob, and halfway opened itself with no-one there, mister telekinesis!"
Todd yells from the phone, "GET OUT OF THERE, NOT OF IT IS YOUR BUSINESS!"
Sadie remarks, "Whatcha hidin'? -Stolen money? -(rug)s? -'Cause if it's (rug)s, I'm giving it all to the cops!"
From what I remember, (rug)s are some stuff that the SCP Foundation uses to make people feel sleepy, and fall over, but Todd doesn't have any of those.
Sadie hangs up on Todd, which annoyed me a lot, and starts recording on her phone.
"SHI(-ps carrying tea)!" my mind curses.
I duck behind Todd's tiny beige couch, afraid that the camera might reveal me to Sadie.
As Sadie is going around the house, opening every drawer she sees, for every drawer she opens, I get one step closer to bringing her to the ground. Nobody intrudes in our home.
From behind the couch, I chuck a flower pot at her skull. It barely missed her, but it puts her on high alert. I hate Sadie more than 'Setevev'.
She aims her phone in all directions, but I duck away from cover in sufficient timing.
Sadie remarks, "I thought Todd was kidding when he said there was something in his house. You there, little devil?"
THAT'S IT. I pounce on her from the back of the couch, tackling her to the floor, yelling, "YOU DISRESPECTFUL LITTLE BRAT!"
Sadie still couldn't see me, but her reaction was all the same. Her screaming made my heart soar.
"NEVER COME HERE AGAIN." I order, with the phone effectively reading what I said to her.
I toss her to the open door with surprising strength judging by my starved look. I kind of look like Todd, but a little more muscular- and with fur.
My intentions were not to kill her, but to effectively remove her from the situation. Whether that means that I have to knock her unconscious, or she runs away is entirely up to her.
Thankfully, she gets up and runs away, but picks up her phone.
"(water blocker) IT!" I think, "SHE HAS FOOTAGE OF ME."
I immediately call Todd's number using my supernatural abilities. I am SCP 1471, and I have the ability to teleport to anyone who downloads an app called "Mal0 Ver1.0.0". I am invisible to the human eye (except for Todd for some reason), and can use cellular connectors like phone towers to mentally call, text, and send to downloaders. I also need the connection to teleport to the downloader as well, but anything that would move if I move turns invisible as well- like my hoodie that Todd gave me. I cannot control whether I am visible or invisible, but electronics and cameras can detect and show me. Cameras are weird like that. I hate them (most of the time).
Todd answers the call, and I mentally exclaim over the phone, "Todd, it's only a matter of time before they find us."
Todd responds, "What do you mean, 'them'?"
I answer, "The Foundation that kept me locked away."
Todd exclaims, "What foundation!?"
I hurriedly explain, "The SCP Foundation- I was one of their test subjects."
Todd yells, "You could have told me that before this escapade happened!"
I stammer, "I -I didn't know what to do, I never thought-"
Todd orders, "It's fine Mal, just hold on till I get back."
The news channel broadcast shifted to the police chasing after a car going over 200 miles an hour, and I smile imagining Todd looking like one of those people from those action movies racing against time, but it quickly turns into a look of worry when I remember, "...racing against time,..."
