Little Doe
"God damnit! Where the hell is she?" I yell out loud to myself while pacing the room. I haven't seen or heard from Liz since last night at the club. Trevor said to me before we left that he knew someone there and was going to make sure she got home safe. He was probably lying since he was actually planning on hurting me. Oh god, I hope she's okay.
While I'm losing my mind in the kitchen, I hear the door knob to the front door jiggle. It could be Trevor trying to come back and finish the job. Looking to my right, I look at the island, where there is a knife block. Picking up the largest one, the butcher knife, I run up the door, darting towards the side to hide until he comes in.
The door swings open, hitting the back of the wall. Letting my instincts take over, I run in front of the person and point the knife out towards them.
"Woah! Take it easy, it's just me!" Liz yells, while taking a big jump back. Dropping the knife to the floor, I run towards her, wrapping my arms around her body.
"Thank god your safe!" I say happily. Liz gives a confused look. Pushing me back out of her arms, she holds onto my shoulders.
"Your happy I'm safe? I've been worrying about you this whole time. I couldn't find you anywhere in the club!" She says loudly. "I've been trying to call you all fucking night!"
What does she means she's been trying to call me. I would heard the phone ring. Grabbing my phone from my back pocket, I type in my passcode to unlock it. Looking at the call list, I search for her name. Liz is no where to be found under recently called.
I shake my head. "No. I didn't get any calls, you must have had no service down there... wait, my phone is on do not disturb mode. Damnit, this prick must have grabbed my phone and switched it off." I say to myself. Liz huffs loudly.
"Either way!" She says. "You weren't at the club. Where the hell did you go! You should've at least let me know you were leaving." Geez, she's starting to sound like my mother now.
I rub my face with my hands, and groan. "Trevor said that he'd tell his friend that we were leaving, and he'd bring you home safely." I responded. She gives me a frown, crossing her arms over her chest.
Looking up from my hands, I give a look like I've been caught doing something stupid (which I did) "There was no friend... was there." Liz shakes her head side to side.
"No Darc, there wasn't. No one approached me last night. Who the hell is Trevor anyways?" She asks with concern in her tone.
I huff. "Someone who tricked me into taking him home last night. He was just trying to.. to.." I couldn't even say what he was about to do to me. A tear runs down my face. Wiping it off of my face, Liz rushes over to me and wraps her arms around my body.
I start sobbing uncontrollably. "Oh.. Darcy. I'm so sorry." She says trying to comfort me. "Did he.. you know.."
Looking up at her, I run my eyes. "You mean, did he touch me? N-no." I say. "Never got a chance too." Liz smiles."Good." She says. "Let's make you something to eat. Do you want some-" Liz gets cut off. We both hear a loud bang coming from outside.
She looks at me from across the room.
"What was that?" She says spooked. I shrug my shoulders."No clue." I say honestly. Liz walks over to the front door, slowly opening it, taking a peek through the crack of the door.
Once she sees that no one is outside, she opens the door fully.
"Oh!" She says. "You must have ordered something online."Before I know it, I hear a loud scream.
"AHHH!"
Running towards the door I see Liz drop the box onto the floor, taking multiple steps back.
"What's wrong!" I ask loudly.
Kicking the box towards my feet, I bend down to look at what she screamed at.
"WHAT THE FUCK!?" I scream whilst jumping back. My heart is racing from what I see below me.Bloody fingers. There are bloody decapitated fingers placed in a shipping box.
"Oh my god, oh my god. What the actual fuck!?" Freaking out, I kick the box outside and slam the door shut.Pacing the room, I put my hands on top of my head, gripping my hair. Liz looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Wait! Something fell on the floor." She says.Covering my eyes, I gulp. "Don't tell me it's a digit. I will not be touching that thing!"
Liz huffs.
"No, no fingers. Its a note."Grabbing the note from her hand, I turn it towards my eyes, and it says;
'My little Doe, you've been a naughty girl whose been messing with bad men. He used those digits to touch what was mine, so I took them away, one by one. Learn this to be a reminder Doe - you're for me, and the only man to ever devour that vessel of yours will be mine and only mine.'
Shit. Do those fingers belong to... no, it can't be.
Running back to the door, I open it to where I had kicked the box full of fingers outside. Opening the box up, I try looking for a sign that they're Trevor's without touching them. That's when I finally see it.
The tattoos that he had on his knuckles. Damnit.
