i hope my doctors come in with some good news for once. i've heard nothing but bad since i've been here.
i heard footsteps coming toward my room. when they opened the curtain, it was actually chris and nick. "hey y/n!!" nick said. chris came up to me, giving me a hug.

"i brought these flowers here for you, where do you want them?" he asked. i pointed to the right side of the room where there was a vase with water. chris walked over and put them inside. i put out my finger and directed it as a 'come here' to chris.

"they look beautiful." i said very softly. he smiles and gives me another hug. "matt?" i asked.

"he's on his way, he dropped us off first cause he wants to-" chris shoves nick as a sign 'shut the fuck up.' "he's just on his way..." nick says. i looked a nick with confusion. he's definitely hiding something.

"so did the doctors come in and give you any updates?" chris wonders. i shook my head no. just as i shook my head, the doctor comes in. "oh, hello! i didn't realize you were so popular y/n." the doctor joked.

"i'm here with good news, and bad news. the bad news actually isn't as bad as you think it is." the doctor smiles. i'm already relieved at the fact it's not bad. but mainly relieved at the fact that i'm getting GOOD NEWS!

"which do you wanna hear first?" she asks me. "lay the bad news on me. i think i can handle it." i say squinting my eyes away from the doctor. "we are gonna have to monitor for you another week just to be sure your safe and ready to leave." she says.

"that actually wasn't so bad at all." chris says. "and the good news?" i question. "your all cured! you might not even need to stay here another week, give it 2 or 3 days." she says with an even bigger smile.

the one thought going through my mind right now is i can't wait for matt to get here. where is he??

the doctor leaves the room to give me, chris and nick some time to celebrate. "that's good y/n! your coming home really soon!" nick exclaims. i just looked down and went 'mhm.' "she's sad because she wants matt here." chris says. just as chris says that, matt texted me.

hey baby, i'm sorry i'm not there. i'm at the house setting something up for you for when you come home. chris told me the news, that's exciting! i'm on my way right now i promise.

after reading that i regained a smile. first time i've ever smiled in ages. no one saw it tho. "matt told me he's on his way now.." i said. "our ubers here y/n, we have to go. matt will be here in a few minutes ok we love youuuuu" they both left the room.

what shocked me is how they left the room so fast.
i slowly close my eyes waiting for matt to arrive.
i must've fell asleep because 20 minutes later matt is lightly shaking me awake.

"i'm here baby" he says softly. i fluttered my eyes open slowly and see matt above me. i immediately grew a smile across my face and held my arms up. matt goes right in and gives me the longest hug, caressing me. "mattyyyyyy" i said.

"i wanna go homeee" i cried. "i know baby i know." matt says caressing my hair. "you'll be home soon my love, i saw your doctor on my way up here and she told me you can start packing up. she doesn't even think you need to be here another day. and they wanna move someone else in." he says.

matt helps me stand up and helps me pack my stuff. we head to the main office and sign my dis charge papers. "you just need to take it easy for 3 days and we'll call you for a checkup" she says. i smiled and matt and i went to the car with my stuff.

he begins driving and takes my hand in his.
"do you want anything baby? i'll stop anywhere." he offers. i looked at him and gave him a smirk. "anywhere?" i asked. "anywhere you want baby. let me know and i'll run inside for you. send me what you want and i'll get it. and don't you even think about paying me back." he says, eyes glued to the road.

"crumble" i said smiling. matt immediately puts in the directions to crumble and drives there. "you pick whatever you want baby, it's on me" matt says.

MAJOR TIME SKIP
me and matt are laying down on his bed, matt caressing me slowly. "you ready to go to bed babe?"
i nodded as he kissed my head. "i love you" he whispers. "i love you too." i whispered back.
