in this case matt asks you to be his girlfriend, in an unexpected way.
you and matt have been in the talking stage for about 6 months now. he's been trying to find his best way to pop the question, but can't figure it out.
"that sounds like a good idea but idk what to do!" matt says pacing around the living room. chris holding his shoulders as a sign of comfort. "matt relax, no matter how you do it, she's gonna say yes. i know she's gonna say yes." chris says to reassure him.
6 hours later (y/n is here) "LMFAOAO stop nick don't do me like that" you said chuckling. matt couldn't help but stare at you. "yes matt?" you say walking up to him, kissing him on his cheek. "nothing, pretty girl." he says. "he's staring at you drooling cause your fucking hot. that's what he won't say ." chris blurts. "yeah basically" matt says, holding your hand in his, interlocking you guys fingers.
"your an angel matt" you say, kissing his cheek as you walk away to the bathroom.
"DUUUUUUDE YOU SEE HOW LUCKY I AM!" matt says blushing. little does matt know you actually went upstairs getting ready. you decided to make your self feel good for once that you thought.

you walked back downstairs to everyone. this is the most confident you've felt in months.
"oh...my...fuck...ing-" matt says, staring you down. "like what you see? this is the most beautiful i've ever felt." you say, matt rushing up to you, picking you up and swirling you around in his arms. "this is how i'm gonna hold you when i ask you to be my girlfriend." he says. he puts you down, muttering something into your neck.
"will you be my girlfriend" he muttered. "wait what?" you asked, making sure you heard what you actually thought you heard. "will you.. be my girlfriend?" he asked once more. you started smiling. "YES!" you said. he picked you up once more , kissed you on the lips and swirled you around again.
