LOCATION: POTOMAC PLAZA, WASHINGTON, D.C.
"The Navy? He said that? You must be kidding me." Glenn Talbot remarked as he walked alongside his wife and son, who carried a game device in his hands.
"Said he likes boats." his wife giggled.
"He likes messing with his old man is what it is." The boy ran off to the left from Talbot. "Don't go far."
Out of nowhere, Trip suddenly appeared and bumped into Talbot's shoulder, who the latter failed to recognize. "Excuse me." Talbot stared after him, unsure, then continued walking with his wife. "The Navy?"
"Yep."
"I'll tell you what – I'll have something to say about that."
The lady chuckled at her husband's antics. "Sweetheart, he's 11. I'm sure you'll wear him down soon enough."
A cell phone started ringing as she laughed. It continued to ring and she looked at Talbot, who was gazing over his son.
"Glenn."
"Yeah?"
"Your phone's ringing."
Talbot was confused. "That's not my –" His hand went to his pocket, then turned to look over his shoulder in the direction Trip went, while his wife worriedly looked over at her son as Talbot took out the phone. "Take George. Get to the car, now."
"What?" Talbot grasped her arm and moved her in the direction of his car. "Now!"
She was baffled with his behavior, but decided to question against him and hurried over to George. "Okay. All right." while Talbot answered the phone.
"Who is this?" he asked, searching around, no doubt looking for Trip.
The person on the other line is none other than Coulson. "General Talbot, you're in danger. We're here to ensure your safety. Please listen carefully."
Talbot wasn't exactly pleased with his request, considering it was his job to capture the guy. "Agent Coulson, is this you? Show yourself so we can talk about it."
"There's no time. We're here to protect you. Listen to me." Coulson requested in vain. Of course, Talbot wasn't the guy who took orders from the enemy.
"No, you listen to me. I have my own protection and a cell for you at Gitmo." He took hold of the cell phone Trip planted on him and broke it in half, throwing it to the ground. He pulls out his own phone and hits a button. "This is Talbot. I need reinforcements at my location now."
"Watch your six!" May warned him, while Carl Creel appeared behind Talbot to attack him. Talbot turned quickly with May's warning and punched Creel in the face. The two men traded blows for a moment before May arrived on the scene. She jumped up and planted both of her feet against Creel's chest knocking him down.
While he got up, an SUV of soldiers arrived and rushed to Talbot, which was enough time for Creel to get on his feet. Seeing some chains and a brass ball of path markers, he grabbed hold of the chain and pulled it out along with the brass ball on the end. The brass color extended upto his arm as the soldiers lined up with their guns drawn. May stepped up to him and he started to swing the brass ball around in a big circle. He threw the brass ball at her a couple of times but she was able to easily duck the blows, while Skye and Monica, well hidden, started shooting at Creel, which hit him with electricity sparks making him drop to his knees.
May turned her back, jumped over a wall, and disappeared as Skye and Monica did the same. The soldiers who appeared with Talbot's beacon, spotted Hartley and Hunter. They stand right in front of Talbot as he gets to his feet. "Secure that bastard!"
