Dear readers,
I thank you deeply for reading the sequel to Veiled by Darkness. It means everything to me to see you guys reading and interacting within the pages of my story. Just like in Veiled by Darkness, I would like to say a few words before it begins.
This short story is my journey throughout my depression. The main characters thoughts were purely my thoughts during my trials. Her actions were my actions as well, however I was never hospitalized for anything I had done. I exaggerate a few things, just for the sake of the story.
A little disclaimer as well for the content that is to appear in the story: Self harm, suicidal thoughts and actions, depression. This story is based on those things. If you believe you will not be able to handle this kind of content, please do not read. I am not responsible for how you feel if you proceed to read it when you know you will not be able to handle it. I do not wish to trigger anyone, nor make anyone upset by the content I wrote about. I will not be putting trigger warnings at the beginning of each chapter or when the actions happen. This is your trigger warning, as well as the description on the blurb.
If you are suicidal or down and depressed, you are not alone. It will get better. It might be a tough road, it might seem like it will never end, but trust me. It will end. We are not only doomed for destruction. Your mindset has a lot to do with how quickly you recover from these feelings. Your brain believes whatever you tell it, no matter how false these accusations may be. Therefore, you must tell your brain that it will get better. Do not allow your hope to diminish. Please, talk to somebody about how you are feeling. Seek guidance from someone who is healthy and able to help you. Whether that be a parent, a professional, or a friend, seek help. This is a serious matter and it should not be brushed off.
You are not alone. Many suffer through these things, but there is always light.
