A loud bang scared me out of my sleep.

I laid in silence, waiting to see if the sound would  happen again. My heart raced. Was there someone in my house? Another crack echoed from the window pane. My mind eased when I realized it came from outside. I quickly rolled off of the side of the bed. My feet touched the cold, hardwood floor and scampered across to the other side of my room. I reached around my tv set and grabbed an unused tennis racquet and made my way over to the window. I peeked my head to the side of the window, two figures stood in the yard. The sensor lights flicked on. I sighed, annoyed at the two figures out on our lawn, and threw the racquet to the side. I opened the window, nearly getting pelted in the face with a rock in the process.

"What the fuck is this? A bad 80's movie? What are you doing?" I whispered.

"I told you she'd be pissed, we should have called," Shawn said in a noticeable whisper.

"No shit!" I said.

"You would have ignored it," Caleb said.

"I would have been sleeping!"

"Come down here!" Caleb yelled, motioning with his hands.

I shushed Caleb, realizing that my mom would have all of our necks if she heard them. I whispered back "No, I'm going back to bed!"

"Please just come down here!"

I shut the window and laid back in bed. A few moments later, the rock-throwing started again. I lived in a one level trailer. I groaned. They could have at least used the front door if they were going to make this much noise. I lifted myself off of my bed with a creak, threw on a bra and a pair of pajama shorts, and ran down the hall to shut up Shawn and Caleb.

I threw the front door open and wrapped my arms around myself, the cool air kissing my cheeks. My two relentless friends ran to the sidewalk. Caleb, who was nearly six foot exactly, brunette with a mop of curly hair that nearly touched over his ears, stood in a pair of cargo shorts, an ugly fluorescent pink and green Hawaiian button-up with a white tank top underneath, while Shawn who was as equally as tall as Caleb, but blonde, stood in a pair of khaki shorts, and a tie-dye t-shirt.

"What do you want?" I asked. My short stature looked comical next to my freakishly tall friends.

"Matty is having a party. We came to get you." Caleb smiled. I checked the time on my phone. It was nearly 3 am.

"Caleb, it's two in the morning...why did you decide to come to get me now?" I brushed my short, fine hair behind my ear.

"It only started at midnight, Matty's parents left today and he didn't get everything together until like ten. Ashton got us about a half an hour ago."

"Ash's going to be there?"

"Of course." Shawn smiled.

"No one's going to want me there. You two are the only ones I talk to still. They haven't answered any of my texts or any means of communication since graduation."

"That's their problem. There's a bunch of people there we don't know and tons and tons of spliff."

"Spliff?" I asked, raising a brow.

"Hash, Min. He spent too much time with his roommate." Shawn laughed.

"I don't know, it's going to be weird."

"Nuh-uh, when have you ever turned down free hash?"

I rolled my eyes, he had a point. "Okay, well,...whatever. Let me go get changed real fast. I'll be right back." I ran back inside the house and closed the door behind myself. I mentally slapped myself. What was I about to get myself into? I sighed and bolted back upstairs, finding a different pair of shorts, a random shirt, and my slip on vans. I ran back downstairs with shoes in hand and began the walk to Matty's house with the two boys.
