Mars pov
I saw a boy who looked like a defenseless little kitten standing shyly in the hallway, being bullied. His ruby curls lie perfectly on his head, slightly ruined by the trash on his head. His face resembled Gargemel from the smurf movies, and his frame reminiscent of the celebrity Henry Stikmin. I turn towards the bullies and growl. My voice comes out low and deep.
"back away, or else we'll have problems."
Cody shook in his boots before running away. Ryan began to sob openly as he ran in the same direction as Cody. Jay just scoffed and walked away. The kitten stood there, his timbers clearly shivering.
"what's your name, kitten?" I asked. He got flustered and blushed, though it was hard to see under his clown makeup.
"M-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-my n-n-name is S-S-Sam..." He said, pressing his right and left index fingers together. I quickly pull him into an embrace. His eyes widen and his face heats up.
"W-w-w-w-what are you doing?!?" He says, extremely flustered.
"You don't need to be shy around me," I respond, warmness filling my voice.
"Y-Y-Y-You d-dont mind that I'm sh-shy?" His voice sounds much more relaxed and comfortable. I release from the hug before looking him in the eyes.
"of course not, it just means you need a little more encouragement." He starts to tear up, and I get worried. "I'm sorry, did something I said come of wrong?"
"n-no, it's just- I feel nervous almost always, and nobody understands..." He begins to sob quietly. I hug him again, a little tighter this time.
"Aw, I understand you. It's hard when you feel alone. but trust me. you're not." I began to rub circles on his back, comforting him. and we just stayed like that for a while, until the bell rang.
