I heard my mother sob, the kind that shakes your ribs and makes everything around you disappear.
It had started with a phone call, he had passed peacefully, they assured us of that.
He had never been around a lot but when he was he was all there. I knew that I wouldn't be seeing him for a long while as he was going to a planet far away, but I never expected to just never see him again.
It was another year before I understood what it was like to sob the way my mother had, my mother and I were in a bad car crash, the kind you'd see in a movie. She didn't make it.
The same sob rocked my body into the worst pain I had ever felt.
My uncle jake was my only relative, and he was currently on his way out to pandora, so I bumped around in foster homes never staying in one place for too long.
When I was 16 I got a call from the U.S marines, asking me if I wanted to have the once in a lifetime experience to go to pandora, and so I did.
I remember going into the pod, a doctor injected my arm with something and then I went to sleep,
And when I woke up, I was in the most beautiful place I'd ever seen..
Pandora.
