In the mood for sadness (oneshots)

1 step forward 3 steps back

"I like you Wang Yibo"

Were the words that came from the olders mouth.

"But.."

"I cant like you" the older continued

"Why?" the younger asked

"My parents arranged a marriage for me and I cant deny it. It already has been settled"  The older once again spoke

By those words, a stream of tears fell down their eyes. 

Yibo spoke

"Ge.. Cant we just runaway from everything? Lets go to an island where nobody knows us"

*silence*

"Yibo.. I want you to pursue your career as a race car driver and actor. I dont want to be the one that pulls you down."

"You will never pull my dreams down ge, Its my choice"

"And I dont want that. I want you to reach your dreams. Let me go please, I love you but we shouldnt be together. Im sorry"

Zhan turned around and was about to walk away

"Ge wait!" Yibo shouted

"If you take 1 step forward.. Your choice will not be reversible you can go freely and ill let you go. If you take 3 steps back. Ill fight for your love and marry you as my lifetime partner and pursue both of our dreams. I promise that." Yibo said

Xiao Zhan hesitated

Then took a step forward

"im sorry" the older quietly muttered 

It started raining

the younger just stood there

letting the rain wash away his tears

6 months later..

Xiao Zhans pov:

Xiao Zhan was scrolling through his phone and saw how successful yibo was.

"Do you regret leaving Yibo?" A voice muttered

Zhan turned around to his mother and said

"I do not regret, even though how much I miss him."

"I want him to be happy ma.. If I never left, would he accomplish this much? I wouldve pulled him down with my sickness. My sickness is hard to cure, I didnt want him to spend most of his life taking care of me and not pursue his dreams. Letting him go was the right choice" Zhan stated

"He was there to stay.. Zhan you said he promised to accomplish his dreams with you. Yibo looks like a very truth-full boy." Zhans mother once stated again

"He was there to stay, but how about me? In a couple of months, my organs could be failing. Theres only a 50% chance ill get better. Ill just rott away, and all of his time will be wasted to me instead of him studying or doing what he wants to." Zhan sobbed. 

"Im not just fit to be his lifetime partner, If my life is already ticking to its end." 

"Maybe in another universe we would be growing old together. But its not this universe" Zhan said

"Why cant it be this universe?"

A familiar voice spoke.. It was too familiar

Zhan turned around to see

Yibo?

"Why cant it be this universe ge..?" the younger repeated

"Im going away soon Yibo, theres no use. You want to accomplish allot in your life. I cant be the one for you" The paled skin boy said.

"Your right ge.. I want to accomplish allot in my life, and one of them is marrying you and be by your side. Dont you ever think your a burden.. Dont you ever! I will love you in any circumstances and universes. The universe destined for us to be together.  So ge.. Please dont lie to me anymore.. Be more truthful. I love you so much, those 6 months without you felt like billions."  Yibo said tearing up.

They both sobbed and Yibo hugged Zhan closer

"Im sorry" The paled skinned sobbed 

"Stop saying sorry.. Say I love you instead" Yibo spoke
