"Queenie, m'girl! What a pleasant suprise it is to see you here! I started wondering if my invitations had been delivered to another Morkley!" Slughorn's sudden strident voice galmed through the room. He let out a buldering laugh at his own joke, clapping the blonde girl on her back. Her box- braids flew over her shoulders when she almost lurched forwards in suprise, as she had not seen the man coming. The potion master didn't seem to notice his student almost falling, and rested his arm on her shoulder. "C'mere Miss Morkley! Miss Evans seems to be in grave need of some company!". He dragged the girl towards where the ginger Gryffindor stood. Lily's attention was pulled to the two and her eyes landed on the blonde girl who looked terribly displeased at being there. She wore a velvet dress that reached till her ankles, with a split going mid-thigh. The dress was strapless, showing off her gorgeous collarbones. Lily laughed at the desperation on her face. Queenie seemed to remeber why she had been ignoring his invitations to frequent parties, or get-togethers as he liked to call it.
"Lily, or should i say potion-master?" Slughorn greeted her, chuckling at his joke. Queenie let out a forced smile. "M'dear, you shouldn't be alone on Christmas, yeah? Why don't you and miss Morkley spend some time together? Perhaps you could encourage her to show up to more of my little get-togethers!". Before Queenie could protest, to try and change Slughorn's mind about having Lily deal with her, he was gone, dissapearing into the crowd. Lily awkwardly cleared her throat.
"Uhm.. hi. I'm Lily, though perhaps you already know that, considering we share a dorm.." she mumbled, sticking out her hand for the blondine to shake, which she did. "Haha, yeah.. We haven't really talked much have we? Even though we've been sharing the same dorm for about three years now." Queenie added, twirling one of her braids around her finger. "So.. what's up?"
