The drive towards the Han River was a quiet one. Both were awkward and silent, but thankfully, their destination was just 5 minutes away, and they made it safely. Inha noticed that Wonwoo opened the glove compartment and took out a pair of black face masks and offered her one. She took it from him without any question and wore it while Wonwoo also wore a black cap and stepped out from the car, Inha following suit. He walked towards the steps overlooking the river and sat down, Inha also doing the same, but sitting a bit away from Wonwoo.

The weather was great, and it was the perfect time to be outdoors. However, the awkward duo didn't know what to talk to each other and stayed silent, taking in the sounds and the sights around them. Finally, Wonwoo took the first plunge.

"So what do you do, Inha-ssi?" He asked her first. His father mentioned that she is a university student at Seoul National University, but didn't know her major.

"I am doing my master's in psychology at SNU, Wonwoo-ssi", she replied politely. "What about you?" She asked him back, genuinely curious.

"Me?" He asked her back, his tone laced with an element of confused surprise. "Don't you know who I am?" He asked her, and immediately regretted his poor choice of words.

Just because you are an idol, it doesn't mean that everyone needs to know who you are, you idiot. He thought to himself.

She just looked back at him, confused.

Am I supposed to know him? Is he famous? Is that why he's wearing a mask and a cap?

She racked her brain for answers. He looked familiar, and that's what her first impression of him was. No matter how hard she thought, she couldn't place him anywhere within her memories.

"I am sorry, that came out wrong. I am a K-pop idol by the way, from the group Seventeen."

"Oh, my friend from school is a fan of your group. She keeps watching your videos in class. She tried to get me into K-pop, but I am sorry, I don't know much about it," she said, truthfully.

It would be an understatement to say that Wonwoo wasn't shocked at her confession. However, the girl in front of him humbled him in ways he never thought before. Wonwoo figured out that she wasn't just lying about not knowing him, in case he would reject her if he found out she was a carat. She genuinely did not know who he was, and he appreciated her honesty.

"Why would you be sorry for not knowing us? It's not a big deal to be honest. I think it's better you don't know me at all." He said, smiling at her, the mask hiding his smile, but even then, Inha knew he was smiling with the way his eyes crinkled at the corners.

"Is that so?" She asked him, surprised. For some reason, she thought celebrities were full of themselves, but here was a guy who was so down to earth and made her feel comfortable.

"Yes, it would be nice if you could get to know me as Jeon Wonwoo, an ordinary guy, and not Jeon Wonwoo, the idol"

And Inha blushed at that.

He wants me to get to know him

"Will you be fine if you get married when you are an idol? Won't you get into any trouble with your fans?" She asked him out of concern.

"Is that a question, or are you trying to find an excuse to not marry me?" He asked her, chuckling as he leaned back on the steps, seemingly growing comfortable around her. He didn't know where he was gaining all that courage to tease her, but his heart was beating very fast.

Inha's face was burning at his teasing remark as she struggled to find words to answer him. She's never spoken to guys before and therefore had zero experience in dodging curveballs like the one Wonwoo threw at her just now.

"I.... Uh.. I just wanted to know out of curiosity," she said after stuttering a bit.

"I see. No, it won't be an issue, I guess. Our fans are some of the nicest fans in our industry. They'll understand if I ever reveal that I am married. Also, two of our members are married, and a few are dating, so I don't think it'll be an issue,e" he said

"Right!" She said, but stayed quiet after that.

"So does that mean you are okay with this wedding?" He asked her, now looking directly into her face.

"I guess yes." She replied shyly as she directed her gaze upon his anticipating ones.

"But you don't look too happy?" He questioned her

"Sorry?"

"I mean, during our lunch, you didn't look too happy while eating", he conveyed what he noticed at the restaurant. "I thought you were forced to get married by your parents", he added, voicing his doubt.

"Oh", she exclaimed as she was surprised by how far he noticed her behaviour. "I was not too comfortable being around my stepmom" she said in a quiet whisper.

"Oh.." he exclaimed, not knowing what to say next. "I didn't know", he mumbled as the atmosphere grew heavier around them suddenly.

"Yeah, that's my stepmother and my half-sister." She said, pulling her already long sleeves longer as if it's a habit of hers. She added, "My mom passed away when I was small"

"Oh, I am so sorry for your loss, Inha-ssi", he said, looking at her with so much concern, even if he was at a loss for words to console her. Now it all made sense, the reason why Inha looked quite different from the other two ladies he saw at the restaurant, and he understood why she was extremely quiet and sad. And before she could answer back, Wonwoo's phone rang. His father called him, informing him that they were to come to the restaurant immediately as they were leaving.
