Wonwoo's mother and father decided to spend the night at their Seoul apartment after the lunch they had with Inha's family. They decided to have a peaceful family dinner together with their two sons but mainly they wanted to discuss the wedding with Wonwoo.
"So what do you say, dear? Do you like her?" Quipped his mom, clearly showing her appreciation for her future daughter-in-law.
"Wah, look at you hyung. I never thought I'd see you all blushing", his dongsaeng grinned ear to ear and teased him, much to Wonwoo's annoyance.
"Stop teasing your brother Hyunwoo," their father said, smiling at his two sons. "We can all see he's in love. Look how red his ears are" He said, teasing him further.
"Appa!" Wonwoo shrieked, earning a few laughs from his family.
"Stop it, boys. Yeobo, you also." Reprimanded the lady of the house, and in an instant, the three men kept quiet.
"Now tell me, honey! Do you like her? Can we inform them that we are interested in pursuing her?" She asked Wonwoo once more
"Yes, Eomma. I am interested in her," said Wonwoo with a shy smile. The girl whom he met earlier passed through his mind. There was some clear indication of some trauma associated with her with regards to her family situation, and even though Wonwoo only barely managed to scratch the surface about her, he developed an instinct to protect her even if he only saw her for the first time. He wondered if she would have opened up to him a bit more if his parents didn't call them back, but again, he was reminded that he was tongue-tied back then when she revealed her mom's demise and didn't know what else or how else he should console her.
"You okay dear?" His mother asked, placing her hand upon his that was on the table, breaking his dazed thoughts that were consumed due to Inha.
"Yes, yes... tell me" he said, shaking his thoughts away, his concentration returning back to the dinner he was having with his family.
"Although we must tell you that her mother passed away when she was very young," Wonwoo's mother said in a solemn voice, her demeanour changing into one that resembled mourning.
"Yeah, I know, she told me," Wonwoo said, which surprised his parents.
"She did? Oh, that poor child," said his mother as she wiped away a lone tear that fell from her eye. "Inha is my best friend's daughter Wonwoo-ya", said his mother, now smiling feebly at him. "My friend Yerin was diagnosed with a rare disease one year after she had Inha. They moved to Seoul when Inha was two years old for Yerin's treatment, and after that, we lost touch with them. I didn't even know about her passing until last year when we came across her husband in Changwon," said Wonwoo's mother, and he listened to every word of hers carefully.
Once Wonwoo knew about Inha's mother, the feeling he had recently developed for Inha only grew and filled his heart. It was not pity, but something more pristine and clear than that.
"Have you informed your members about this, son?" Asked his father implying if they knew that he was meeting a potential bride today.
"I told Seungcheol hyung alone. He told me to go for it," Wonwoo said with dry humour.
"As expected from a married man", chuckled his father. "What about the fans? Will they be okay?"
"I guess, Appa. We are not too sure, as nobody has figured out so far that we have members who are married in the group. If anything, Ayat is making sure that the agency is taking adequate measures to keep things in check," he said, mentioning their Chief Creative Officer's efforts in curbing any scandals from happening.
"Okay, now enough talking and eat quickly before the food turns cold", said their mother, and everyone finished dinner quickly after that.
Wonwoo decided to spend the night with his parents instead of going to the dorm-penthouse he shared with the rest of the SEVENTEEN members. His mother called for him and when he approached her, he saw a photo album that was placed on her lap. It was full of Wonwoo's and his brother's baby pictures along with their childhood memories. She then pointed to a picture.
"Guess who this is?" She asked smiling, her voice carrying a hint of mischief. Wonwoo recognised his baby self in the photo along with a small baby who had little to no hair. He must have been around two years old in the picture and the other baby was younger than him.
"Who?" He asked his mom as he couldn't figure out the baby in the picture
"That's your would-be wife!" She said, beaming at her son, who picked the album to check the picture closely.
"No way!" He exclaimed, his voice full of surprise as he felt an overwhelming sense of happiness at seeing the photo.
"Ha ha, yes, that's Inha. This was taken before they left for Seoul." She said smiling but smacked his hand when she figured out that he was trying to whisk the picture out from the album.
"Yah, Don't steal my photos"
"Ouch, Eomma! Okay, then can I scan this?" He asked his mother expectantly.
"That's fine. Make sure you return the photo to the album once you finish scanning. Okay?"
"Okay, Eomma! Thank you!" He said, beaming as he hugged her tightly.
"Alright, alright. I am going to sleep now. Good night, Adeul!"
"Goodnight Eomma!" The filial son replied as his mother left to sleep
Once she left, Wonwoo removed the photo from the album and went to his father's study to take a scan. He then sent it to Ayat, the Chief Creative Officer, with a very special request and went off to his bedroom that he shared with his brother in their Seoul apartment.
"Hyung, wipe that smile off your face. It's scary to see you like this in the night," His brother exclaimed with a laugh from his side of the bed.
"I am going to kill you now", Wonwoo said, throwing a pillow at his brother. The two brothers shared a few laughs before they went to sleep.

Hey guys!
A soft chapter for today! But look out for heavy emotional ones very soon! I can't wait to write Inha's and Wonwoo's interaction.
Also Ayat is pronounced as (aayat). It's an Arabic name which means Sign. It also means a Quranic verse. I really love the name and so I gave that to a character who'll play a very important role in our boys' life. So I hope you are interested to read her story also!
Thank you for reading so far! Do vote and comment! Don't hesitate! I won't bite 😅
